“So in others words…. we’re completely lost.” She sighed.
“No!” He replied indignantly, crossing his arms as he walked. “Well…maybe a little,” he admitted sheepishly. “But what do you expect me to do?”
“I expect you to at least know the way to the place your leading people to…. but I’m not getting a good vibe from where we are now.”
“I thought it was around here somewhere, but now I’m not too sure…and I’d have to agree on that. We should probably find a way back to the er…less sketchy side of town. I think our little escapade may have to wait for now.” At least until I can gather my bearings about where we are right now, he thought.
Kat suddenly got tense and her hair started to stick up. “Its not good being here. We gatta leave. Now.”
"Take your word for it," he agreed softly, starting to back his way down the street they'd come from. "Have any idea as to which way would be the quickest way out of here?"
