Were you stabbed by Brutus?
Every March 15th, this gets notes, so happy Ideas of Merch two kay twenty three.
Had this idea of Kon and Tim, with Kon having the habit of sort of always having hands on Tim. Not in like a handsy way, just in a comforting way. Fingers intwined in his sleeve, leg tucked around his when they're on the sofa, arm over his shoulders when they sit together, Tim sat on his lap while at his desk working or on the arm of his chair when they're just chilling. Kon will just manoeuvre Tim, tugging, pulling and settling him and Tim just goes with the flow, usually distracted by something he's reading or watching or conversation he's having. And it's cute, Tim loves it because he's a little touch starved and Kon enjoys having the reminder that Tim his.
But the family? They see Tim practically being draped over Kon, not even allowed to sit on a chair without having Kon's hands on him? Damian is all for calling Kon out for impugning the family's (mainly Tim's, but he'd rather die than admit it) honour. Jason is two minutes away from getting a water bottle and spraying them because Kon is just too handsy with his brother. Dick is scandalised, he tries to talk to Tim and see if he's OK with it but ends up demanding Bruce do something. Bruce is like, they're just kids until he walks in on Tim sat on Kon's lap in the Bat Cave working while Kon is just sat there chatting away. Bruce calls up Clark and demands that he come and get his clone and remind him to leave space for Rao between him and his baby boy.

Tim Drake "fans": I'm sick of the "Tim is small" narrative! He was not little or small for his age! He became Robin at 13! Stop pushing your fanon takes on him!
Meanwhile, Tim:
He is a lot (more sketches!!)
One of the reasons I will always prefer Kon's second origin story, him being a clone of Clark and Lex, is because I love the idea of Kon really looking like Clark. Like really looking like Clark. In my head, Kon looks more like Clark than Jon would ever. (Jon is his mom's son but I digress)
So when he appears in Smallville, like this fan comic, everyone assumed Clark have a hidden son but everyone do as if they "don't know" and take whatever story the Kents say.
A cover story I like is that they say that they discovered that Clark had a brother/half-brother/cousin via those online DNA thing and decided to bring Kon in the Kent family. Also hilariously Kon keeps fumbling the cover story which make Smallville people not buying at all (but still doing as if they do)
I just want a story of Smallville people (incorrectly) assuming things but in the end supporting the Kent family

Letters to qinghua
no one has yet written the ultimate nightwing whump fic: tim having a crush on ted kord
everyone talks about how dc had plans that one time to make tim the next blue beetle
nobody talks about the epic crashout dick would have had if that actually happened
like. tim. his HERO-WORSHIPPING ROBIN-OBSESSED LITTLE BROTHER TIM. abandoning the mantle that DICK CREATED and BLESSED HIM TO BRING BACK FROM THE DEAD.
for TED KORD???????
oh. oh JAIL for timmy for ONE THOUSAND YEARS
Oh, please let me join your cult / I'll paint my face in your colors
No actually I'm still mad about that fridging poll.
Not only is it patent ridiculous to even entertain the question the way it was framed, AND patently ridiculous that SIXTY PERCENT of the people voting picked an option that wasn't "some other definition"...
Using The Killing Joke as an example of NOT being a fridging? THE KILLING JOKE???
This is a comic in which Barbara Gordon is shot in order to drive Jim Gordon insane which will then make Batman sad. She is grievously injured and sexually violated (the nude pictures the Joker takes) NOT EVEN to make a man sad, but to make a second man sad about the first man, like some kind of fridging game of telephone. She disappears from the story entirely after Bruce visits her in the hospital, even though the story goes on for another 30 pages, because that's how little Moore gives a shit about her. Although we are shown the nude pictures of her, because of course we are.
THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT! THAT'S THE WHOLE PROBLEM! She's Batgirl and they threw her in the trash to make Bruce sad because Jim was sad! BATGIRL, and when Alan Moore asked if he could use her this way in the story, his editor Len Wein said "Yeah, okay, cripple the bitch." And you want to pretend there's no misogyny at play here?
"Batgirl is a more important character" THEY DID THIS TO GET RID OF HER. She was retired! She was considered worthless! If Kim Yale and John Ostrander hadn't rightfully thought this story was fucking gross, Barbara never would have returned as Oracle in Suicide Squad. She would have been a footnote in comics history.
I am spitting fire here. "Doesn't count." The Killing Joke is one of the most clear-cut and egregious examples of fridging in comics history. Next time try googling a term for ten whole seconds before you try to define it.
