Honestly, I don’t get the pirate event at all

From what I’ve gathered,

You style an outfit matching the theme, and then are added to a group with three other players. You will see your team’s score after you run a practice battle in the “prepare” section

Because there are four of you your score is so high it seems impossible to lose. However, the points you score become “morale” which is totaled up server wide to fill the bar and unlock the background

Therefore it might be in your best interest to modify your team so you have a higher score. If you click the button to change your team, you are given a number of different players, including one or two from your friends list (indicated by a little purple banner that says ‘pal’). You can refresh this list every twenty seconds for no apparent cost.

Every time you change your team lineup you need to run another prepare/practice battle.

Every attempt earns 5 of the event currency, meaning you can get 25 free per day and 150 total free during the event.

You will also recieve 150 currency as the event goes on and the server morale increases to unlock gifts.

With all of that, however, you will still need to spend 2,000 diamonds to complete the first suit, and an additional 1,850 for the second one, making the event cost a grand total of 3,850 diamonds. (If my math is correct)

At least we will all get that background as a server.

~Maple Sugar Magic~

She’s 4.5 inches tall, so twice as big as my usual figurines. This is my first time sculpting a somewhat anatomically correct body. I had a lot of trouble with the hands and feet, but that was expected lol. I mean, I can’t even draw hands and feet right. I chose to make Maple Sugar Magic because I thought her outfit would be simple to make for my first time trying something like this. It was not simple, the cape was a nightmare and I regretted everything half way through lol. I actually wanted to make the whole figure 7.5 heads tall, but since it was my first time making a body, I didn’t want to risk messing it up and wasting clay. I’ve also thought about making her head smaller to get it to the correct proportion, but then I won’t be able to make the eyes because her head would be too small…So in the end, I just did what I’m comfortable with. Like usual, all details are made with clay, nothing was painted, but I think it’s time I start learning how to paint, because making small details with clay is the worst. I’ve been avoiding painting because paint brushes intimidate me, but the thought of doing something like a checkered pattern shirt or floral kimono patterns with clay is even more intimidating lol.

So, it’s been a while since I’ve posted something…I’ve been a bit busy. Also, a couple of weeks ago I hurt my thumb, which was why I couldn’t make anything while it was wrapped up. It didn’t hurt much, but it was a bit of an inconvenience not being able to use my thumb fully. It’s all healed now though!
