Celebrating Canada Day with a kids run. Approx 1km. Aspen and Cruz ran on their own at their own pace, I ran behind Knox and Daddy ran with Steihl. I was honestly getting outrun by my 4 year old! 🤦♀️. Steihl’s first race, and all the kids had fun. It’s a good day so far.....no fighting, no arguments, no WHINING, no crying....but it is only 11:30am. Lol. This girl! She tried so hard and is such a good sport. She finished the day, and raced to the dentist to get a tooth pulled. Missed medals announcement but her brother went up and got it for her. I messaged Vince (who was at the dentist with her) to show her she placed 2nd overall and he said she was grinning ear to ear, even with her mouth frozen. Lol. No matter how hard the journey gets, NEVER EVER give up!! This little guy competed in his first sport. Track and field. He showed such determination, and never gave up. He’s my one kiddo that ALWAYS says “I can’t”. But this whole day I didn’t hear it once. He never gave up! And in the end he won. Not first, but won with NOT GIVING UP! Who’s with me lately?? 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️ This is me the past 5 days! My youngest, who turns 3 tomorrow, is soooo fidgety at night lately, then my 4 yr old wakes 2-3 times as well. .....I. AM. SO. TIRED. I am seriously the walking dead right now. To add to my zombieness, Last night we all slept in the treehouse. All 4 kiddos, Vince, the dog and me. Cruz slipped off the air mattress 3 times, Knox and Steihl both squirmed out of their sleeping bag 2x, the cat meowed at the treehouse door 2 different times....before and after the skunk was around (stinky). I didn’t sleep so I went to the house around 5am to get at least 2 hrs of sleep in. I think I will send all the kids and daddy to sleep in the treehouse tonight while I stay in the house and get a good nights sleep. If I trip and fall today, I’m not getting up.
