I’m gonna say something really controversial and it’s that people always bring up that perry is canonically asexual but the “canon” in this case is just 1 of dan’s tiktok comments where he says “does asexual count?” and that’s it. and to me that’s like quasi-canon. it’s not mentioned once in the actual show, it’s not even mentioned in whatever video that was on, it’s just a half-hearted comment.

I don’t think dan even understands what being asexual really means and even though he is the perry authority his track record on queer stuff isn’t wonderful. we on tumblr understand the intricacies of asexuality but he doesn’t. (he doesn’t even know for sure it’s an lgbt identity in that comment.) so I’m hesitant to take anything he says like that like it’s gospel. and he also has a history of just making up shit on the fly when asked a lore question. I kind of don’t think this is a topic he’s thought through and I can imagine when he wrote that comment that was also something he just came up with on the spot.

this is not to say people can’t treat perry as asexual, that’s totally fine and cool, but people also go really far with it and act like you are not allowed to even question the cold hard fact that he’s asexual. and it’s not a cold hard fact. it’s barely canon.

Old man Perry the Platypus

Further into the future when Perry and Doofenshmirtz are domestic life partners and Perry is an older Platypus. He develps cataracts with age and loses his sight. He also develps hearing loss but he's not completely deaf. His body is generally weaker. He's not that physically active anymore so he's gained some weight. He's very clingy with Doofenshmirtz because it's comforting to feel him when he can't really see him. He's actually pretty content and he's gotten used to being blind after a little while, he's just happy to be alive this long with the love of his life and his family

What if the abusive drill sergeant was based off a real instructor Perry had as a trainee who punished agents at the slightest infraction? Like sure hes CHARMING when he wants to be. But also hes stuck up, possessive, cranky and unsociable. He's had one (1) mutual friend since coming to the Tri-State Area, mutual in the case they both want to be friends with each other, and that person is Heinz Doofenshmirtz. And it took them 5 years. Every other friend Perry has made was done so against his will. Pinky (their owners crush on each other). Peter (Was the guy Heinz cheated on him with). Lyla (just doesnt like her in general shes like a fine person but he has such a stick up his ass). Stacy (she is a secret agent despite all his warnings otherwise). Vanessa (thats his stepdaughter) Santa Claus is NOT his friend thats his celebrity crush. I don't think he respects the Marvel superheroes but they keep in touch. Hamster is a colleague at best. Actually on second thought he's also friends with Diogee they got along surprisingly well.
