*You pick up a research notebook that is full of markings seemingly of a creature called” Näkki”* 

“Where am I from? Oh it was a lovely lake far far  away from here. The lake Kärängänlampi.

The lakes water was sweet and easy to breath in. On summer mornings, when the sun had barely risen behind the evergreen forest, you could see the  Lady of the mist dancing on the water to the tune of birds singing. The water seemed to stay still just for her.  I often watched this from the bed of reeds near the shore.

Usually not long after this the nearby village would start to wake up. They usually came to take water from the lake. Humans, interesting things. The villagers knew me. I had some friends from there too. Humans have such a strange way to show friendship. They always go limp when I show them my home. They liked my home so much they never left and it was great. We were all happy.

Funny how fast things change.

The wrath of the Tidecaller reached the far Northern lands.  First came the storm and then followed the flood. Water swallowed the land and the waves kissed the sky. It is like the water tried to pull me  apart into a tiny shreds. I was fling and spun in every direction with the force of four Kinahmi whirls. Not even the great dragon of Kinahimi would have been able to survive that.   It was difficult to breath. The salt water burned my lungs and prickled my skin. The pain on places where the water plants growing from me were torn off was unbearable.

The next thing I remember is waking up in shallow water near shore. Everything looked unfamiliar. I was alone.”

Note to myself: The subject seems to be suffering from homesickness and is very unaware of how humans work.
