Finally did an inktober! (At the very end of October haha...) Also, I never had a chance to post anything after the cons I did this year, but I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited my stall at madfest and ozcc Melbourne/ Sydney! It was so awesome meeting all of you, and I can't thank you guys enough for supporting me and my art. đ
Iâve been doing Steve Ahnâs Action/Adventure Storyboarding workshop, and this was an assignment we did recently where we had to create 20 different compositions with a tea set. I really enjoyed it and it made me think about composition in a very different way! For anyone interested in doing Steve Ahnâs courses, I canât recommend them enough! For everyone going to OZ Comic-Con in Melbourne this weekend, Iâll be exhibiting in the artist alley so come by and say hi! :) Itâs my first time being part of an artist alley - Iâm excited! Iâll also be running two workshops over the weekend - a 2D animation workshop on Saturday and a storyboarding workshop on Sunday (both at 3pm). Looking forward to seeing you guys at the show!

Mermay no. 4, and my first time working on an iPad Pro! Still getting used to working on the iPad surface, but I'm really enjoying it so far! The screen is a little slippery to draw on though, so I'll probably get some sort of screen protector for a little more grip.
Mermay #3! I tried out some different brushes on this one than the brushes I normally use. I think I like them - going to play around with them some more. :)

I'm so sorry for the long silence on my art social media accounts, and that I haven't been posting much artwork recently! It's been a difficult few months, as my dog Chip passed away from bone cancer about 5 weeks ago. He was first diagnosed at the start of this year, had his leg amputated to remove the cancer, and then had a wonderful 6 months of remission. But at the end of August the cancer returned with a vengeance, and spread throughout his body faster than we could control. After his passing I drew this piece for the two clinics that had treated him - our wonderful oncologists at Victorian Animal Cancer Care that treated Chip's cancer and helped him live for 7 more amazing months, and our wonderful vets at Montrose Vetinary Clinic who have taken such loving care of Chip and his brother Choc since they were puppies. I wanted to make this for them to thank them for everything they had done for Chip and for us. Chip is the one in the red collar and Choc is the blue (they're brothers from the same litter and named after choc chip cookies :)). My heartache for Chip grows more and more as each day passes, but I'm going to try my best to live life more like Chip and learn from everything he's taught me. Even when he had three legs, he would push himself to do more each day - climb over the highest rock, jump the highest to play fetch, and chase the fastest rabbit. He didn't worry about whether he had three legs or four - he just lived life to have fun! I think Chip has taught me more about life than anyone else, and I'm going to try my best to live life more like him and keep his memory alive.Â
Photos from a couple of weeks ago from San Diego Comic-Con! These were from the panel for the feature documentary âFloyd Norman: An Animated Lifeâ (about the life of Disney Legend Floyd Norman), as well as the Q&A after the film screening. These panels were so much fun, and it was such an honor to be on the same panel as these amazing film and animation professionals. Itâs definitely an experience I will never forget!
