Remembering Issay...

Today marks 2 years since we lost one of the most wonderful artists ever. Always true to himself, Issay was someone ahead of his time who went beyond the boundaries of self-expression in more than one single way, challenging stereotypes and even social taboos. His daring personality and talent make him more than a singer, Issay was a spectacular composer, performer and a unique person, a role model for his generation.

Thank you for everything dear Issay, we miss you🖤💫

A beautiful story between Atsushi and his tiny little version, Acchan, under a sakura tree.

🌸It seems adult Atsushi wants to embrace his inner child, maybe because he understands the sadness, anger and confusion the child is experiencing, but Acchan doesn't want to be helped or to be seen as someone vulnerable, so he responds with violence. However, a breeze of sakura seems to comfort Atsushi, like a relief.

🌸Perhaps the tree is Atsushi/Acchan's mother, that's why both versions of him are gathered at that precise place, under his mother's protection. That would explain why little Acchan is crying there, he misses her and looks for her consolation. A breeze of sakura caresses his head at the beginning, the same breeze that, like a sign, calms adult Atsushi at the end, telling him that she will be with him forever.

Well, that's my interpretation. That's how I see it, what I feel if I think about Atsushi, his love for his mother, how he dealt with grief and the trascendental way he understood death and love beyond this world. What do you think?

💙HAPPY 48TH BIRTHDAY TOSHIYA!💙

Happy birthday to one of my favourite musicians in the world.

I still remember when I was discovering vkei and a band called "dir en grey" was nothing to me but a group that just seemed familiar. The only member I could recognise was "a guy" named Toshiya, I was only able to identify dir en grey if I could see him in the picture or video. His androgynous looks were stunning and caught my attention in such a way that I became interested and started listening to the band. I guess that it's not a surprise that he became my favourite member in the end, I think I knew it from the very beginning (lol!).

Bassist, fashion designer, a master of plastic arts... a true artist in every sense of the word. You are a huge inspiration Toshiya and I admire you a lot. I'm really proud of being your fan and I will support you always, looking forward to your future projects. Happy birthday my dear!!💫

My dear Atsushi, what can I say? I have already said this so many times before, but for some reason there is no other way for me to express with words what I feel, what I would like you to know. I wish I could do something good enough for you in this special day but I feel that nothing would be comparable to what you really deserve.

I still can remember the day I found you, the day I listened to your voice for the first time. I was going through a hard time but that day something changed. As a light in the middle of all this darkness, you Atsushi, together with Buck-Tick, give me since then strength, a reason to continue fighting. The way you overcame obstacles and your own ghosts to turn them into something special, unique. You found your way in this world to follow your dreams. That inspires me every day and I will always be eternally grateful.

I cannot avoid this bittersweet sensation but I know you wouldn't want us to be sad, so today I will celebrate your art, your life, your beautiful heart and soul.

For all the joy, the tears and the dreams we share, for everything you teach me and give me every day that makes me immensely happy, and for all the other things I just cannot explain. Thank you Atsushi. Wherever you are, the parade will continue forever. Happy birthday🌸💗💫
