i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

this also goes for aesthetic or -core titles. 'y2k tank top' is going to get you resellers and fast fashion brands advertising to people looking to meet a current trend. 'thin strap crop tank top' is going to get you a diverse group of results and not upcharge you to hell and back

additionally, shop second hand when you can, second hand and thrift sites typically organize clothes by the cut and color. theyll be more affordable than a depop seller curating you a style to sell you

This shot is absolutely incredible and I hope I’m not the only one who sees it as a sort of deconstructed (since Dean is not actually holding up Jack’s entire body) Pietà. The blood on Jack’s hand even visually resembles Jesus’ wound from having been nailed to the cross. The camera angle (already gorgeous on its own) allows a halo to be at the level of Dean’s head… Dean may be one of Jack’s fathers but symbolically he is a mother of his, the one to kneel beside his body fallen from the cross.

The link in the original post unfortunately leads to a deleted account, so I googled the artist Yosuke Amemiya. And you guys. Those apples are WOOD. That isn’t digital art or some malleable medium like clay or putty. Wood. I’m almost angry at how good they look. Absolute witchcraft.

this video is genuinely incredible - the framing, the sunset, the single street light, the sound of traffic and cicadas in the background, the video of the sign capture imperfectly by (presumably) a phone camera. it’s a work of art and a perfect encapsulation of 21st century america
