🎉🎉 HAPPY 1985 EVERYBODY!! 🎉🎉
*listens to Florence And The Machine once*
Being the family’s assigned IT person is fun because everyone gets annoyed when you don’t know what to do
also they don’t try to do or teach themselves anything, becuse they can just get you to do it for them!
and it’s such a chore to put on the pennywise makeup every day too like ugh
you ain’t grading a college paper
Do this for any company that asks you to review their employees always.
You wouldn’t believe the number of times I swear I get 4/5 star ratings at my job just because the way people think is “well 5/5 means perfect and nobody’s perfect, 4/5 is good!” The company I work for doesn’t understand this common mentality at all, and will let people go over not having consistent enough 5/5 ratings. Obviously they don’t inform the customers of that.
what prision should be 4:
rapists
pedophiles
murderers
abusers
what prision shouldn’t be 4:
non-violent drug dealers
drug addicts (who need help + support, not prison time)
protesters/activists
poc who get arrested 4 doing things white people would never get arrested 4 doing
rape/incest/abuse/etc victims who kill their attackers (self defense)
homeless people who are just chilling + not doing anything illegal (like a homeless person is just sleeping + the cops arrest them 4 some dumb reason)
a lot of people, actually (ex. people who steal like a single apple bc they’re starving, people who take animals from abusive owners, squatters, undocumented immigrants with no/minor criminal records, prostitutes + sex workers, poor people, the mentally ill, etc)
The fact that this post is controversial on tungle dot hellsite says a lot about the site’s political environment.
who votes for ted cruz?
This is what I’ve been saying.
your reminder for tonight is that you are allowed to feel things, you’re allowed to have bad days where you just feel bad. your feelings are real, and you are not a burden by expressing them or telling others how you feel. you deserve the support, love, and good vibes that people give you during hard times.
One of those “hard to swallow pills” as far as mental health advice goes is stopping negative self talk. I understand that making self deprecating jokes and and poking fun at the topic of depression can be a coping mechanism for some people, and it’s miles better than actually doing something self destructive, but it perpetuates a negative mindset. It doesn’t facilitate any progress to continue to constantly put yourself down, and joking about wanting to die propagates casual suicidal ideation.
I understand that I’m absolutely guilty of indulging in negative self talk. I don’t mean to sound hypocritical. It’s not terrible if you can’t find a way to stop your negative self talk, and you shouldn’t feel guilty about it, but it definitely inhibits any progress towards recovery you could be making, which isn’t ideal. I’m only saying that it’s something that people who struggle with mental health issues should be mindful of.
Please be kind to yourself. You don’t need to over-emphasize your negative traits to be funny or relatable. Sometimes it’s ok to just be.
“There will be days when you’re going to feel like you’re not making the right choices in life. But there will be nights when you’re still left with a choice to hold yourself together before you sleep: Take care of yourself.”
— Juansen Dizon, A Good Choice
sure you can let the negativity set in and let it slowly hurt you more and more, but you have other options. the limits we put on ourselves are in our thoughts. if we tell ourselves repeatedly nothing will get better and we’re too messed up to ever be fixed then we’ll prove ourselves right. no matter how much time it takes life wants us to open up to the possibility of healing.
Just a lil reminder that it’s okay to rest even though there’s so many things to do. You can’t do your best work if you’re running on empty - take a break to refresh your mind then get back into it! You’ve got this 🌻
Be careful when acting on impulses, for that’s what they are; an impulse. They are often generated so quickly that they make it straight to our first line of consciousness without any chance of contemplation. Handle them delicately, for they have the potential to spread like wild fire through the intricacy of our minds.
