Having seen some births now i can say that dog birth is amazing cos they just slip n slide out one after the other like a little conveyor belt. And theyre so little and unformed. And then UNGULATE BIRTHS ... are amazing for the opposite reason which is that 10mins after being born they are filing their taxes. Unless they are goats, in which case they are committing tax fraud instead
Goats are what is called a precocial species, which means that shortly after birth they are able to do many thimgs on their own, such as standing, walking, eating, and embezzlement
unrelated to the thesis of this blog but if anyone finds my art endearing my artfight is cageroom
baz and fiona
egypt won the game against australia do u think baz pitch is celebrating rn
that being said I'm not actually always opposed to conflict free fluff I am just opposed to the characters having their claws filed down for it. you can stick them in a coffee shop au it should just still feel like you sat the two worst most insane people on earth in a starbucks
pet peeve that happens more often than you would both think and want
[image description: a four panel comic of a blank grey person, a blank blue person, and the artist's sona, doc, an axolotl with glasses. in panel 1, doc and the grey person are looking at the blue person, who is saying "hi i am male character with a complex about my identity. i am miserable and forcing myself to be something i'm not. transgender imagery keeps being associated with me especially in scenes where i'm most sad and/or angry about my identity, which is male. even if i hate it. even if it's painful." in panel 2, doc is thinking of an egg over a trans flag while the grey person says "omg transmasc king". in panel 3, doc's thought bubble pops as he quickly looks over at the grey person with a baffled expression. in panel 4, doc, still baffled, looks back over to the blue person, who is saying "i cannot stress enough that i am so unhappy with who i currently am and who i currently am is male". end id]
guy with poor circulation vs guy who is a human furnace. Who will win

i think a better author than i could pull off cannibalism as a metaphor for colonization with regard to vampirism as it’s presented in the series. and someone should because i think it’s a really interesting interpretation
you know, i don't remember
fourth book titled None Can Equal The where baz and simon are sent to the gulag
i’m not quite sure i understand why transmasculine simon is a much more popular headcanon than transfeminine simon. i always understood his character as someone masculinity was enforced upon, a trapping for him, something he didn’t particularly like but had to perform to be who he was expected to be. the same way we understand femininity was enforced upon agatha! (and that’s why i’m not particularly fond of the transfem agatha headcanon, but that’s another rambling post for another time). that’s how i understood the davy/lucy divide in his life or baz prior to eighth year as this emasculating force, where masculinity is what kept him a soldier, and femininity is associated with freedom & his new beginnings. but tbc i’m mostly a cis simon propagator ;) if i was really crazy about the headcanon i’d be incessantly using she/her. i just don’t think if simon actually got better he’d particularly identify with masculinity
(the in)sid(ious humdrum) is like. what if the child version of you, for whom the world was so much simpler, kept interrupting and questioning and poking holes in your world that expects maleness from you, the system you fight for. what if at every turn (s)he kept messing with your perfect, beautiful, unhappy and strained relationship. your intensely repressed—yet useful to the ones who control you—masculine understanding of yourself. why can’t you be a woman? when did you stop dreaming about it? when did you make yourself stop thinking about it? ykwim
