Xeha chuckled and shook her head. “Heaven forbid that anyone live in less than five star accommodations. I can say for a fact that this is the nicest place I’ve ever set foot in, even if it’s a mental institution.” She glanced out the window for a moment. “Thank you.” It was sort for a gross family name though. “X-e-h-a.”

“May. Wow. How’s it been treating you? I mean everyone seems to like it here. Been trying to see if i can weed out the one person that doesn’t like it here. Is it you, the lucky winner?” He chuckled nervously and bounced in place,” I’m Damian.

Xeha shrugged. “Yes, it’s a long time. Things have mostly been fine. I’ve been far worse places. The facility is nice, even if it’s a little creepy at night.” She replied. “A pleasure to meet you, Damian. I am Xeha.”

That all made perfect sense. No one ever thought of the economics when dreaming about Hawaii. He wondered what a burger would cost there. He almost forgot he was talking to someone, it had been some time since he had talked to someone. he came back to his senses,” Uh, How long you worked here for?”

No, no one ever thought about the people who had to make livings in tourist places. The tourists just enjoyed their visit, spent the time wrapped in their perfect tourist world, and then left to return to their normal lives. She didn’t eat much fast food, so she couldn’t have told him the average price of a burger. “I’ve worked here since May.”

“Hawaii?” He scoffed lightly, bouncing a little in place, though it ached a little to do that,”Why the hell would you ever leave Hawaii to come to a place like this? Just the work or…?” He was honestly curious but didn’t even realize he was being probably too nosy.

“A lot of reasons actually. The job market is better here to start with, basic things are more expensive on the island since everything has to be shipped in, and the islands are very confining.” And it was away from the majority of her family. If nothing else that was a reason to get out of there.

He always worried. He over worried. That was probably one of the reasons he had shit up the first time. He shifted from one foot to another and crossed his arms over his chest. He couldn’t help fidgeting. He always fidgeted, especially in the cold,” Oh, I’m from California.” He shrugged,” What about you? Oh, I’m not keeping you from anything, am I?”

Well there honestly was no need for him to worry, but he would probably worry anyway. Xeha watched the patient shift uncomfortable one. He was a twitchy one. “Ah, I am from Hawaii. It’s usually warmer than this in both places. And no, you are not keeping me from anything at the moment.”

He put his hands up, not grabbing her arms or shoulders. He let his hands hover there as if at any moment he intended to catch her if she fell. She wasn’t going to fall, but he thought she might,” I am really sorry. Did I hurt you at all?” He asked quietly, seeing that she seemed alright, he relaxed and shoved his hands into his pockets,” It’s rather cold, isn’t it? I’m not used to cold. It distracted me.”

She didn’t fall, so there was no need to try and catch her. There was no need for him to worry about the nurse. “No, you didn’t hurt me. I’m fine.” The nurse replied. “Yes, it’s getting cold, and I’m not used to it either. I don’t much like it. Where are you from originally?”

Damian was glad it was no longer fall. He wasn’t sure why but fall gave him anxiety worse than any other time of the year. Fall made him jittery and made him have nightmares. Winter, on the other hand, wasn’t so bad. Other than the cold, everything had a refreshing feeling to it. He loved the coolness in the air. The crisp way everything sounded and the way everything felt. 

He turned away from the window and sighed. At least here he was very unlikely to catch a cold. He wondered what Christmas would be like here and if his boyfriend would visit. He was so wrapped in his thoughts that he ran right into someone,” Oh, I’m so sorry! I really am!”

It was winter again, and Xeha hated it. She hated the cold. She hated the snow. She hated the way everything was overly hot in an uncomfortable way. The nurse much preferred the summer. Even if she’d lived in New York for a while she was still adjusted to Hawaiian seasons. 

The nurse stumbled back when she was run into by a patient. Thankfully it wasn’t one of the vicious ones, and that she wasn’t currently toting a tray laden with cups of medication. If she had been the pills would have been all over the floor. “It’s fine.” She said with a small sigh and brushed the front of her scrubs flat.

Tiny blonde is humming, in a relatively good mood in the art room, fingerpainting because she needs the feeling of paint on her fingers today.

“I guess that’s a good thing. Don’t want too many people here, right?” He smiled a little then dips the smile with a shrug.

“Right.” He agreed. Still it would be nice to have some more staff members, so he wasn’t the lone doctor in the medical ward.

“So what is your turnover here?” He scratched at his arm, his nervous tick.

Nodding slowly he leaned on a chair, almost mimicking the other as he thought,“I cant remember if we were well off or not. I was too high through most of it.”

  “Ah. I see.” He says. Though there wasn’t really that much judgement in his tone. He gives a nod. He knows some people were into that stuff. He just wouldn’t be the type to get high. “Well…I’m sure Colton will make things alright for you.”

“I’m perfectly fine, it’s the state that thinks I’m not.” Grins with a small shrug. He knew it wasn’t supposed to be offensive but it did offend him. He honestly had no issue other than his anger issues. He had hurt someone he cared for. He wished he hadn’t but he had no regret.

He smiled and bidded, “so, I haven’t seen anyone much around. How many people are here?”

“There are only roughly thirty-five people living here at the moment. The number goes up or down depending on who is admitted or released at any given time.” He stated. “That number does include the staff members.”

Daemon nodded, a bit surprised at the kiss, though he didn’t hesitate to kiss back, holding the other close still. His hand slipping down to lightly pat his ass- trying to encourage him.

He kissed a little deeper and his eyes fluttered lightly as he slightly rolled his hips, feeling a bit more at ease than he had been now that he had talked to the other man.

Daemon hummed against the other’s lips, slowly rolling the other onto his back, nipping at his bottom lip, before he pulled away to speak, “Uh…. I forgot to ask, do you top, or bottom?”

"Oh.. I assumed I didn't have a choice, I thought you were a top. I bottom." He smiled a little, feeling a lot more confident now, even though he knew about the other a little better.

It wasn’t hard to miss Zexion. He was quiet, and not overly tall. His presence wasn’t an intimidating one either. “I am glad to hear and see that you are feeling better.”

After the first few days here, Dame just felt an overwhelming need and depression wash over him. He felt sick, shaky, and overall just plain anti-social. He has laid in his bed and ignored the attempts at getting him out of the bed. Nurses made him move but only when mandatory. He finally had gotten a shower and they made sure he didn’t starve even though he barely could keep anything down. Now he finally felt well enough to go for a walk. The halls werent much different from his first days here. He didn’t think they would be.

Zexion had spotted the patient in the hallway. He hadn’t seen that particular one up and about in a very long time. His hygiene had improved since the last time he saw him as well. “Good afternoon.” He greeted, and held back any comments about him being out of bed. Those helped no one. “Are you feeling better?”

Yawning, he almost missed the other man talking to him. He honestly almost walked right past him. He stopped and smiled a little, nodding and tucking his hair back," Much better, actually, thank you."

“Things go good for me a lot. They honestly do. As bad as some thing are, a lot of good things happen to me. Of all those things, they all get destroyed by some thing, even little, I just can’t stand those good things anymore. I don’t know if I make any sense.”

   “You know..surprisingly. I might know what you mean.” He says, leaning against his desk, hands framing his body as they grip to the edge of the desk. “I come from a pretty..well known family in the area where I lived. You know. Big parties and all those sorts of things. Not that any of that really meant much to me.” Because he would never inherit any of it as the youngest of four brothers and a sister.

Finally he subconsciously picked at the crook of his arm where his old scars were. He dug slightly and shrugged,“ I’m only pretty much pretending to be same anyway.”

Kai ignored his last reply and instead grabbed his arm, inspecting it. “And what do we have here? Battle scars?”

He shrugged with a small grin,"Victory scars from when I was on top of the world." He had to admit those were some of the best times of his life, when he recieved those needle marks.
