Noodle is a banana ball python. He's my first snake and he's still just a baby. I want to share pictures of my handsome boy. My digital camera is on the fritz, so until further notice my phone is all I've got for taking pictures. Feel free to ask me anything about him!

So I was trying to play Overwatch with my rowdy rope, and he decided he LOVED my headphones. Stole them twice and fell asleep coiled around them. He also hijacked my controller several times, causing me to walk backwards or be completely immobile. I love when he "helps" though.

Noodle’s tank got an upgrade today! A 900VA 480W uninterruptable power supply (UPS) like a backup battery that should keep his tank up and running and warm even if the power goes out for several hours. There’s an ice storm moving in this weekend and I was worried about outages, so I went ahead and got this one. It’s an APC, on sale at Best Buy for $75 if you’re interested in getting one yourself.

New year new skin!

Been a while since I updated everyone on the yellow rope. Noodle shed on the 1st, then got a nice, tasty r.at, and this is his first outing of the new year. I tucked him in my bath robe to keep him warm while I was on the computer this morning and he fell asleep in there, then decided to poke his head out as I was getting pictures. I took a few pics of him on my bed (excuse the mess) and got out the good old yard stick to see how long he is. At a year and a half old, Noodle is 3.5 feet long and about 1040g.

too many snakes

Woke up from a really troubling dream where I was moving and had 6 venomous lizards (like Gila’s or something) and an angry rattlesnake in a cardboard box. I didn’t know where I got them (apparently I’d been breeding the lizards - I’d started with two) but I couldn’t take them with me and didn’t know what to do with them. The rattlesnake was very angry. The moving truck was the size of a double wide. I woke up and took mental inventory of the venomous animals j don’t have, relieved.

I hate those kinds of dreams. :/ 

A lot of mine seem to be disaster related where shit goes down and I can only save one or two, and then I’m trying to survive the elements and keep said animal(s) alive. I wake up feeling like I’ve lost everything, and then have to do inventory.

I’ve had so many bad snake dreams. Like so many.

Once I dreamed that Noodle’s tank was shrinking and I had to keep taking things out until I was keeping him in a plastic lunch meat container with some holes in it and some terracotta colored sand.

Noodle turned one year old on 8/8/16. It took me a little longer than expected to get his new tank set up, but he has all kinds of new hdes and plants and a big water dish for taking a dip in if he wants and a basking shelf and lots of things to climb on.
