Close-ups on the instruments used by Dir en Grey in their latest music video: I thought at first that they used traditional equivalents to their respective instruments, but it seems more complex than that.

Toshiya's instrument is a Morin Khuur, a Mongolian 2-strings fiddle with a horse head at the top; Shinya uses a handpan, a modern instrument created in Germany in the early 2000's; I'm less certain about Kaoru's and Die's, but they might be using Nyckelharpas, Swedish vielles with keys on the neck.

This guy is hilarious: how tall is his Christmas tree? Pulls out a measuring tape, stretches it in front of the tree in the distance meters away, then with a straight face he answers:

"About 40 cm"
