soft crying
when will hilda return from the war
Send a ✗ and my muse will react to being called a monster.
"Right. I only really came by to run an errand for Professor Juniper." She hadn’t planned on returning right away, wanting to catch up with a couple of people, namely Cheren.
"But I can definitely stay for a little longer." Bianca grinned, her face lighting up at the offer. There wasn’t much worry about whether or not the Professor would be upset about her returning on time. By now, she had noticed that the Professor never scolded her when she took longer than expected for tasks like these. Bianca was always one to take in new sights and surroundings, and the Professor would have likely understood that she would want to spend some time with an old friend.
“If you can't, I'm okay with it. Work is important after all!”
Hearing that she could stay, Cheren smiled once again. It was nice to know that they could catch up, even if they would sometimes talk. That awkwardness was still there, usually, but they could fix that. They weren't on bad terms, it was just different from how it used to be.
“That's great. Is there a particular place you would like to go to? Any place is fine by me.”
It occurred to him that Bianca may have more freedom than he did, running errands and all. He loved his jobs, but he never strayed too far from Aspertia. Things had changed, and he was just so proud of Bianca.
“There is no such thing as a weekend for a teacher.”
"Ah, I apologize. You must forgive my odd sense of humor. Please, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Adrien. I work as a general practitioner in the small clinic next door. You see, I recently moved here from Kalos, and I have a slight problem connecting with people. Cultural boundaries and what not."
Colress was a charming man who had won over the hearts of the toughest masterminds in both Kalos and Unova. His kind easygoing demeanor combined with his good looks made it very hard to resist him. At the moment, he hoped that killer combination would help penetrate his potential new friend’s defenses. A small smile formed on his face as he tucked several loose strands of blonde hair behind his ear.
"One of my patients is a student of yours. During our last appointment, she told me some of the most wonderful things about you. Her stories prompted my sudden visit, and I’m not disappointed. You are a fascinating individual. Yes, you can trust me."
“Oh... Sorry, I was being rude.” Cheren blinked at the other, an odd doctor he was. It was rare for him to meet foreigners, even if he was a Gym Leader. He really needed to stop being so into his work and go meet others, perhaps he could try today.
The other seemed nice enough, Cheren wouldn't mind getting to know him. Cheren wasn't about to tell him everything, but getting to know them would be nice. There was nothing wrong with making a friend here and there, Adrien was probably harmless. Something about Adrien made him want to befriend him, trust him and just be... himself.
There was a problem with that, just who was he? Cheren tended to act different depending on the person, so it was hard to tell. Even if it was the littlest thing that changed... Oh, adulthood was so complicated.
“I see, I didn't know about that...” A small blush appeared on his face as he was complimented. Such kindness from a stranger was nice, but that was far too much praise. “Thank you, that is very kind of you.” A pause. If he could really trust him, then maybe things could get better. Though, that would mean Adrien would see the real him.
“It's a pleasure to meet you, Mister Adrien. Let's become acquainted first, if that would be fine.”

❝Hush❞
“No..” Hilda said with a pout look on her face, she wanted to confide in him some more, but she didn’t want to dump her girly troubles on him. He had so much going for him… he didn’t need her mess on top of it.
Unfortunately, there was a side of her that really wasn’t able to hold back much from the concerned navy-haired male. Giving up with the frown, she sat on up and curled in her blanket as if she were a swadloon. “Okay.. fine. You win.” Silly girl, he wasn’t even trying.
“Okay… so.. uhh.. some years ago. I met this guy… He could battle really well but he was a bum and all… working for the battle subways. When I came back I tried to see if I could find him again. Didn’t really work-out. Randomly found him and… We became friends.. I confessed and we fought.” Well… that pretty much summed it all up. And then cue her muttering on that all boys are idiots.—Not you Cherry.. just the other half of the species.
Not to mention he said some other things.. but that would come up soon enough.
Cheren usually wasn't one to pry, but if his friends were crying over it than he must. While he had no knowledge in the relationships area, he could at least try. Of course she wanted to be stubborn about this, that was a trait they both shared.
“Hilda...” A soft voice, one that not many heard from him. He couldn't stand to see her be so sad, and it made him even more upset that it was because of someone she fought with. Even if he didn't know the other person involved, Cheren could still dislike them-- It seemed that Hilda was ready to tell him.
Listening closely, he was very angry that it was some guy who made her cry like this. Wasn't the point of relationships to be happy with the person you cared about? How could Hilda fall for such a guy, someone who didn't do much with their life? Love was far too strange for him to understand, but he can to try to do something.
“I see...” No, actually-- Cheren still didn't understand romantic relationships, and he should be the last person trying to help her. “... Why did you two fight?”
will try to do replies tomorrow! the storm is making it hard to do replies cause the internet is so sLO W

“F-forget..? …I don’t…” His words only twisted the situation even further; she couldn’t think of any way to deal with this… Forgetting a person seemed… Ridiculous to her, especially someone as significant as Cheren. But, maybe this wasn’t her he was talking about… “…Cheren. What are you talking about?”
Glancing away, he wiped a few tears though he continued crying. This was really just ridiculous of him, but there was so much he held back. He just couldn't bare the thought of people he cared about forgetting him, Mei counted.
“The fo-former and I.. were close. B-Best friends-- I was s-so scared.”
“…What..? What are you scared of?” Now it seemed as though the two had switched positions, but Mei wasn’t sure if she could help her teacher with this; heck, she didn’t even know much about him in general aside from their previous talk. Yes, she was grateful for his comfort, but she wasn’t so sure if she could even return the favor, when he was like this.
Words stuck in his throat, unwilling to come out and speak the truth. It wasn't that he had an issue with telling Mei, it was just so hard to say it. He had never been close with anyone else other than Hilda, Bianca or Alder. All of this was still new to him, but if he wanted to continue improving himself then... Cheren could risk letting her in, Mei wasn't the same as her.
“Please... d-don't forget...”

Name of your muse. Cheren Arterberry
One picture you like best of your muse’s fc.
Two headcanons you have for your muse that you never told anyone. 1) Cheren always had a soft spot for Bianca, though he never shows it in public. 2) After a test, he plays games with his students or reads to them.
Three things that your muse loves doing in their free time. Grooming his pokemon, napping and cleaning.
Four people that your muse loves. His mom, his dad, Bianca and Hilda.
Three fond childhood memories. Reading to his best friends, Hilda protecting him and napping with Bianca.
Two things your muse regrets. Being a huge jerk during his journey and getting obsessed with strength/power.
One thing they’d go through heaven or hell to save/change. Going with to save: His students. Cheren loves all of his students and will do anything to make sure they are safe. (Does this count for a thing or--)
Tag ten people to do the same thing. Uh-- If you have done this already then you don't have to do it again! idealheroine, resonanceverite, belblondie, colressofflare and idk who else just do this if you want to!!
