favorite thing in the whole wide world when a story is about how a typically “negative” trait is the one essential to saving the day. a character whose anger pushes them further than any of their kinder aspects. someone so stubborn that they cross a finish line no one else could reach. greed that becomes justification to protect people. ruthlessness that gets the job done right. the coward who becomes a hero because they were the only one with the sense not to face something deadly head on. selfishness that keeps you alive.

I love when our ‘worst’ impulses are shown to be as important to who we are and how we handle things as the best parts of us. sometimes you don’t conquer what everyone says is wrong with you; sometimes you learn how to make use of what comes naturally instead of fighting against it.

muscle memory is so beautiful to me. my body remembered better than i did. yet we're the same thing, with the same memory.

the lines that mean the most to me in severance season 1 will always be the angriest ones. the battle cries. the, "you smug motherfucker", the "I WANNA REMEMBER MY KID BEING FUCKING BORN!!!", the "EVERYTHING THEY TOLD YOU ABOUT SEVERANCE IS A LIE!"

likewise with the very last cry of "SHE'S ALIVE!". it's referring to gemma, but thematically it's referring to the innies who are trying to prove they are people, to the outies who are finally starting to wake up amidst the depression that caused them to sever their brains in the first place. such a perfect line to end the season on.

severance as a show is just screaming to it's viewers YOU'RE ALIVE!! YOU'RE ALIVE!! GO BE ALIVE WHILE YOU'RE STILL ALIVE!!

The amount of people on the internet (mostly TikTok, Instagram and Twitter) who have an intense, burning hatred for object shows and its fans is kind of funny to me.

i'll be honest it gets kind of annoying when ppls immediate canned response to an m/f ship is "she deserves better" because over half the people who say that then proceed to hyperfocus on some yaoi with the man involved and never give the woman a second glance. forgive me but i think she deserves better than being girlbossed off screen and never mentioned again
