Psych 3.01 >> tax season is coming
There's "committing to the bit" and then there's whatever the fuck Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster were doing on television every week from 2006-2014
The great thing about Gus is that he perfectly oscillates from playing the annoyed straight man to Shawnâs general insanity to yes-anding to an insane degree. For every moment where he says no Shawn, you did not hear that both ways thereâs a moment where he, with no prompting, claims that his fictitious grandmother with a broken hip was teaching a line dancing class. For every time he says Shawn, stop messing around at work, there is a time where after Shawn says heâs been âlooking at the man in the mirrorâ, Gus, in a move that never ever fails to make me laugh, with a completely straight face and no impact on the conversation, does the Michael Jackson âhe-heâ. Heâs insane. He thinks heâs normal. He does 11 point turns. Heâs a sympathetic crier.
One of the benefits of watching psych (2006) is that in most shows with a weird protagonist you find yourself asking why are you like this but in psych you don't do that because you just saw. You just saw 10 minutes ago at the start of the episode when Henry was putting him in a trunk
And so, the woman dies. The woman dies so the man can be sad about it. The woman dies so the man can suffer. She dies to give him a destiny. Dies so he can fall to the dark side. Dies so he can lament her death. As he stands there, brimming with grief, brimming with life, the woman lies there in silence. The woman dies for him. - The Woman Dies by Aoko Matsuda
Psych 4.05
I just wrote 8 pages when I haven't written in months and was beginning to think I'd never be able to again. Idk what it is, but I am sharing and manifesting this energy for every writer who sees this. May you write 8 quality pages effortlessly and find joy writing once more
8 pages you say
âhey this dog looks to be struggling to perform very basic functions and that is very worryingâ âwell ACTUALLY if you STUDIED THE BREED STANDARD youâd see that this dog is actually the IDEAL ______â YEAH. THIS TOO IS THE PROBLEM. WHAT ARE YOU NOT GETTING.
âyou canât blame breeders for breeding to standard :/â i actually find it very easy to blame them. they are the ones creating the dogs on purpose, you see

If you saw me recreationally vaccinating homeschooled children with blow darts then you should be thanking me, no? Relax a little. Blow darts are cool

people should be allowed to have low ambition, and also be able to feed a family on the salary of a cashier at a convenience store.
And! We need cashiers. And convenience stores. And I think it's kind of broken that society says people who want to do stuff like that have "low" ambition (not you OP, I get you're using it illustratively because that's what society labels said jobs) and don't deserve to live at the same standard as people with "high" ambitions.
If we need someone to do a job, that job is a role in the community and deserves not just a salary but cultural respect for the role.
"high" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve domineering and controlling others. "low" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve service to others. Have you noticed? Because I have noticed.
But serving others is actually more needed than controlling them.

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
