it is with a clenched fist shaking in the direction of the nearest #litbro that I must say that east of eden is indeed a heater. kinda outselling all the bible fanfic that's been published; hemingway could never, dante is shaking, milton only good as inspo for lucifer paintings. the first 8 chapters went absolutely bonkers omg, "a time splashed with interest, wounded with tragedy, crevassed with joy --- that's the time that seems long in the memory. and this is right when you think about it. eventlessness has no posts to drape duration on. from nothing to nothing is no time at all" just being some fadeaway sentences is wild and there's like 12 of them per chapter...
the most important virtues for the young woman are as follows: time theft, selfishness, orgasms, irreverence to authority, sacrilegious behavior, a questioning mind, and eating regular meals.

remember when I made that post that basically said "don't forget about a southern hemisphere when worldbuilding" and a lot of people said "ahhh but what if my fantasy world is flat or shaped like a kia sorento? checkmate I Write What I Want" and then you go and find out that people actually forget that the southern hemisphere exists in real life, like right now here in earth
my worldbuilding posts have two key components:
here's a thing you should think about to make your world more believable and cohesive :) it could really enhance your plot and characters and it's also fun to think about it, when you know how the real world works you can make more vivid fantasy worlds!
and you also should think about it so you think about something else that isn't your own fucking hemisphere pedazo de gringo imperialista
So half of the fantasy planet needs to be experiencing summer when its winter in the north? Is that the endpoint of this post? An episode of the magic schoolbus?
I don't know what to tell you. Read the post again.
what succession always did well was that it’s crudeness never felt performative or there for shock value or to illicit audience reaction or to be edgy or experimental it was because the characters actually Would fucking say that and Would fucking do that for convoluted reasons laid out to us over and over again in show like this guy isn’t going to psychosexually ironically unironically call his dad’s 65yo corporate lawyer ‘mommy’ because hes the funny one it’s because 80 years ago a four year old and a five and a half year old were speaking with their eyes in the hull of a u-boat fleeing from the war
