hey hey so @fucking-zawa-sensei and i worked together on a aimai story last year and we thought we’d like to share it with you guys this year!

Jay wrote the wonderful story and I worked on the art. plus, @megidolan​ has kindly allowed us to use her ocs as hizashi’s classmates.

I lacked a lot as an artist but I’m glad that you stuck with me Jay, and that we finished it!

And without further ado, here’s the summary and I hope you guys enjoy it!

Over the years, Hizashi and Shouta’s friendship has grown from overexcited greetings met with grumbled responses, to nights passed huddled around Hizashi’s kotatsu, drawing up blueprints for his new support gear. Spending every day together was becoming the norm, but their last year at U.A. comes with newfound hardships, challenging them in ways they’ve never experienced before. An extended internship assignment sends Hizashi and Shouta to opposite sides of the city, and tests far more than just their hero skills. With a tremendous distance between them, they struggle to come to terms with the toll a hero’s life takes on their relationships and their minds.

Some of you may remember, over a year ago at this point, me talking about working on a comic and how excited I was to one day share it with you all…well…today is the day! 💖💖💖💖

I had a lot of fun creating this idea with Mackerel. I had never written a comic script before this and figuring out panel placement, pacing, etc. was a lot of fun and something I would really love to do more of in the future. Mackerel was a great partner and I can’t thank them enough for agreeing to do 15 pages when I told them it is impossible for me to ever write anything short 🙈 and putting up with me trying to squish as many panels as possible on a page, and for wonderfully reworking the layouts when I made a mess of it all when I did try to smoosh it all in there. They did such a fabulous job on the art and costumes and and emotion in their faces and it makes me so happy to see our story come to life.

I hope you all enjoy it just as much as we do. I am very proud of what we created together and am so happy you all finally get to see it as well. Thanks again, Mackerel, for working with me on our story, for all your great ideas, for persevering with me when it seemed like we would never get it finished!

i’m sorry but i’m just obsessed with the idea of midoriya and shinsou having a rivalry over internet drama. i can’t stop thinking about it. like before the two of them even meet at the sports festival they just have a ton of internet beef

shinsou gets all of midoriya’s hero analysis youtube videos taken down for copyright. even if he just uses like 2 seconds of audio from an all might newscast, he reports it and gets it taken down. he does this because midoriya once made a video refuting shinsou’s theories about eraserhead and shinsou has never forgiven him

shinsou sees him when he goes to check out class A before the sports festival and sees midoriya and immediately decides that he’s gonna 1v1 him in the festival no matter what it takes, purely out of spite

inko once tried to track down the person reporting all of izuku’s videos and angrily replying to his posts and making callout posts about him, because she was very concerned about 12 year old izuku being talked to on the internet by some grown man, only to find out that the person in question is another 12 year old hero-obsessed kid who’s just fucking pissed that her son tried to correct him

they end up in a hero focused discord server together and it’s literally just interactions like this over and over until one or both of them is forced out of the server by the mods:

number1eraserheadfan: You’re wrong. Did you know that you’re wrong? In your last video about Eraserhead, you said that his “scarf” (which, MIGHT I REMIND YOU, is NOT a scarf. It is a CAPTURE WEAPON and calling it a SCARF is INACCURATE.) was 80.7% carbon fiber, but in the calculations you showed you completely forgot to carry a number! By your own equation it is 84.6% carbon fiber, which is a 3.9% difference! I don’t know if you know this, but that’s a HUGE disparity to make when it comes to hero support gear. You know, if someone tried to replicate his CAPTURE WEAPON with 80.7% carbon fiber and tried to use it, it could’ve completely fallen apart and you would know that if you could just to basic math. You also made a similar mistake when you were talking about how much weight he can carry compared to how much All Might can carry! You forgot to carry a one, which is a VERY BASIC math issue, so maybe you should go back to elementary school and learn how to add again because according to my calculations, Eraserhead can carry just as much weight as All Might can, which makes all your “points” about All Might’s super strength invalid.
