i write fic sometimes and would like to write for arcane! will probably be mostly mel-centric, with potentially some caitvi mixed in. i'm a bit of an angst gremlin and love hurt/comfort and aus. i'm also very much a multishipper and don’t have strong opinions on ships/particular ships that compel me, especially in canon. as long as mel doesn't get done dirty i'm on board ‼️

what i love about elora is that onscreen she appears calm and collected and then you read her backstory and this is a person who abandoned her country to get exiled alongside a teenage girl she's known for a couple of months tops whom she grew close to through their attempts to investigate her father's death despite the numerous freaky details like the driver not having a face. this is a woman who saw the absolute mess of the medarda family feud and a murder out in the open and went "yep that looks perfect :)" and abandoned a stable job to follow a disgraced noblewoman as her friend/spy/assistant/emotional support/codependent bff. elora i love you

It's simply interesting(tm) to me when certain fans will sit in your face and dare say it's hard to discuss Mel's character flaws because of, *check notes* her 'stans' and not primarily because of the rampant misogyny and racism around her character.

which btw, has been going on for so long that Evening, Mel's characer designer, had to speak out against the hate JV shippers had for Mel back during Season 1. Toks, Mel's VA, has also spoken out against the misogynistic and racist lens people view Mel's relationship with Jayce just this year.
