Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
Official cry for help
as most of you know Ive been in a very tight spot financially for a while since my extended hospital stay, but Ive always had a roof over my head and could barely scrap by with the money i made for food and bills, just recently however, I learned that soon wont be the case. Im losing my home, and by september, will most likely be homeless. I do not have a regular job, and because I am a workplace liability, can not get one. I applied for ssi, but that most likely wont pull through for at least a year. I may have the option to stay with my sister, but I would need to pay rent. basically, Im fucked and I desperately need help. Ive remade the donate button on my blog, and will once again keep my commissions open for anyone who wants them and my commission info for anyone whoâs curious, but I need help. Even if its just because you like my art and want to see more of it, please consider donating or commissioning me. any amount helps, and now Im begging, I dont want to lose having a simple roof over my head on top of everything else, even if you could signal boost this, it would help. please
ha ha ha so that tooth my dad broke in half after hitting me in the face has finally come back to bite me in the ass as well as another chipped tooth and insurance doesnt cover dental so i have to pay out of pocket and now im even worse off than i was before :)) any donations at this point would be incredible helpful and would save me from being completely finacially devastated i would eternally grateful because im basically fucked financially and on top of this im going back to the ward in a week and wont be able to make money on my own for a while so im officially begging for help
Ok ive gotten the estimates on my dental work and yeah the insurance wont cover it so im paying all out of pocket AND ill be heading back to the hospital on wednesday so any help at all at thjs point would be super appreciated because by the end of all this i am going to be financially devastated and most likely homeless by september
the dentist is milking me for as much money as they can and my medical appointments and bills are piling up pls..
Eeehn, i did IT.
Modern-day Dishonored.
Forgive me, please.
And i admit i was a little lazy with the City Watch
hold on a minute
sister mAYBE?? PLEASE LET IT BE BEATRICI
WE WENT BOWLING AFTER DINNER FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND THERE WERE LIKE FORTY FURRIES THERE DOING, LIKE, SOMETHING OR ANOTHER I DONâT EVEN KNOW BUT THEY WERE BOWLING IN THEIR FURSUITS AND DOING VERY WELL ACTUALLY?????
they did a big group shot and invited me over to take pictures because i had taken selfies with a ton of them and then fuckin jess told them it was my birthday and they inviTED ME INTO THE GROUP SHOT AND LONG STORY SHORT HEREâS A PICTURE OF ME, PRINCESS OF THE FURRIES
so after posting this i found out that this is a thing that occurs monthly at this particular bowling alley because since this post BLEW RIGHT THE HELL UP and a few people found me and invited me to come back sometime?!?! this monthâs furbowl (those are things, theyâre called furbowls) happened to be last saturday and i was working a 12-hour closing shift that day but i showed up at the end of the night while they were already in the middle of the big group shot outside and they were about to disperse but i sprinted over asking them to hold still for just another second so i could get a picture and one of them screamed âYOU CAME BACK!!!!!!!â and, long story short, my reign continues supreme
(one of them owned that school bus; it had duct tape over the letters so it could be the âcool busâ and they called it the âwagginâ wagonâ)
This story keeps getting better and better
niuzao:
levi becomes an even better character when you imagine his cold demeanor not being a result of voluntary detachment but extreme social awkwardness
like picture a former thug trying to learn to fit in with people who grew up in polite society. he probably wears that cravat because he thinks it makes him look more proper or something. also the fact that he tries to tell jokes but theyre 1. toilet humor and 2. his delivery is awful so nobody can tell whether or not hes joking and all he gets are blanks stares and pity laughs
tumblr has 900,000 psas reminding people that hes not a heartless sadist who derives sexual pleasure from kicking eren in the ribcage repeatedly but like. hes also just a huge weirdo. what a weird dude. tell me another joke, levi
New Dishonored 2 screens and art
Dishonored 2 is being powered by the very robust ID TECH 6 engine with some modifications. As anyone that is currently playing the new DOOM, itâs a damn fine new graphics engine. I adored the original Dishonored even with its engine woes and at times shoddy AI glitches; itâs a franchise that has tons of potential. Weâll see if they achieve that later this year on PS4, Xbox One and PC.Â
âYusuf, the hood. Now.â
âOver my dead body! My face is too pretty to hide it. And my hair hates being covered.â
âDai! The world will not suffer if you hide your face for a few minutes.â
âFind yourself a better use for hookblade, Ezio. You are doing it wrong.â
âVa bene. What about a little rooftop race? Want to join me? And do not worry about the hood. I was joking.â
âHehe, you tricked me, Ezio. I thought you have no sence of humor, hehe. About the race - with a pleasure. Ready when you are, kardeĆim.â
Husband: Hey I saw this stealth game on Steam sale and I bought it for you
Me: ??
Husband: Yea look, itâs called Shadwen and it has this stealthy assassin woman teaching a young girl how to be a stealthy assassin and it kind of looks like the old thief games but with modern telltale graphics and it made me think of you.
Me: âŠI want a divorce.
Husband: âŠ
Me: so I can marRY YOU AGAIN
Do you have a dollar?
I am going to share this. Itâs a gofundme campaign. Itâs mine. I really hate to feel like Iâm begging, but at this point in my life, I need all the help I can get. The link is here:Â Â https://www.gofundme.com/DoyouhaveadollarÂ
Iâm not asking for much from the individual, just one dollar. I know how it feels to want to help someone, but not have enough to share. If you canât spare any money, please pass the word along.
This could be your good deed for the day. :) Thanks for taking the time to read this, I know it was a bit of a long post.
Hey guys if you could spare a moment and take a look and spread this go-fund-me link posted by @timbrewuulf Iâd really appreciate it.
Please do not balk at the total amount. Timbrewuulf is one of the many, disabled Veterans living in the US who are not being afforded the care and aid they need. They are trying to move into a better housing situation and preferably get to see a doctor some time soon, but with declining health and only one income, their options are limited.
I know times are hard for everyone, but I also know first hand the kindness of strangers can really make all the differenceâif it werenât for some of you Iâd still be in constant debilitating pain rather than random debilitating pain. Doesnât sound like much I know, but to me it meant the world. And now it can mean the world to someone else.
Please consider giving what you can, even if all that is is a dollar. You have no idea how much such a small amount can mean when you need it.
As always stay safe and be kind to one another. You never know what other people might be going through.

i donât think straight people will ever truly understand why many of us gay people LOVE being gay and why we would not change ourselves for the world. even the most progressive straight people, deep down, they pity us. they think weâd probably rather be straight if we could. âprogressiveâ people always make the argument that âbeing gay isnât a choice, because who would ever choose to be gay??â guess what: i didnât choose to be gay, but i would. theyâll never understand that once weâre able to accept ourselves and find a safe community, being gay feels amazing. i love being a woman who loves women. and itâs only because of them that iâve ever had to even think about questioning that.Â
Hey, uh... I donât pity you.
The CDC can suck my ass
For friends not in the spoonie community, this is about the CDCâs recent guidelines that attempt to combat drug addiction in America by severely restricting access to opioid medications for ALL patients except for terminal cancer patients.
Without opioid pain medications, I would have had to quit working and go on disability nine years before I did.
Without opioid pain medications I would have been housebound and dependent on caregivers for another 10 years after that.
Without opioid pain medications I will be less active, more sedentary, and more sick.
The CDC says opioids donât work for chronic pain; theyâre wrong. They donât work for some chronic pain. They donât cure chronic pain. But they make life liveable for millions of chronic pain patients. Estimates of chronic pain sufferers in America range from a low of 39 million to a high of 110 million. That low-water mark excluded people with intermittent chronic pain, like endometriosis or migraine, as well as omitting people with neurogenic pain. Most reasonable guesses put the number at 70â80 million.
The cure for drug abuse and addiction has nothing to do with restricting pain patientsâ access to medication, or forcing them to give up what quality of life they have managed to attain through having their pain managed with medication.
Itâs not about labeling pain patients as addicts for taking medication to which they can build a physical dependence. (By that definition, every time I go on prednisone and have to taper off it, Iâm a prednisone addict!)
Itâs not about calling a patient in chronic pain asking their doctor for relief a drug-seeker.
The cure lies in combating the issues that lead to drug abuse, like poverty and an economy that sees the rich getting richer while the poor and middle class fall further and further behind. It lies in giving hope to people in hopeless situations. Not taking hope away from several million more.
Reblog to educate the normals. We need a cultural perception shift, and it needs to start now.
I make a hobby of watching documentaries about heroin (donât ask) and all of them in recent years have a terrifying but obvious agenda: opioid pain reliever restriction.Â
They harp on the fact that a high percentage of heroin addicts began by taking prescription painkillers, but they never bring up how many prescription painkiller users become heroin users. Every time I watch one, they get to the part where addicts (current and recovering) talk about how they started on oxy/vic/perc after an injury and eventually moved to heroin, almost universally itâs because the pills got too hard to get, and I get irritated. Usually the pills are blamed for the transition to heroin, despite the fact that earlier in the documentaries the same individuals often speak about prior addictive behavior with pot and alcohol. (Very rarely is Purdue Pharmaâs incredibly troubling insistence on misprescription addressed â and when it is, it too includes the âpain pills to heroinâ narrative.)
Quick Google stats: there were 259 million painkiller prescriptions written in 2012. That same year heroin use was estimated at 2 people per 1000, meaning with a population of 314 million and given a likelihood of under-reporting, we had roughly 6-700 thousand heroin addicts in the US. At most, a million.
So even if many of those prescriptions were for the same people, and even if every single heroin addict was the direct result of a pain pill prescription (not super duper likely), the vast majority of people who got prescription painkillers somehow, magically, didnât become addicted to heroin.Â
Itâs almost like addiction involves multiple emotional, physical, genetic, and environmental factors that have nothing to do with prescription pain relief but opioids are an easy scapegoat for grieving families to pin their pain to.
I see the points being raised here, but at the same time as a massage therapist I feel like there should be different options for managing pain other than taking pills that have potential negative side effects (entirely separate from the issue of addiction, which is a very real thing: Vicodin was the gateway drug for my sister, who wound up killing herself).
What I would like to see happen is for insurance companies to start paying for complementary and alternative medicineâlike massage and acupunctureâat the same rate that they have been prescribing opioids. There are so many other options out there and I really hope that this national conversation will push the medical field in that direction.
I would prefer insurance companies cover whatever helps people - but this isnât the place to talk about that. Weâre talking about people who have tried the other options and have been left with pain pills as a last option. I also know people who have addiction problems related to pain medication, and Iâm sorry for your loss - but we should treat that with a better system for addiction, not by hurting chronic pain patients
âBut people become dependent on theseâ well yeah because without them they have a very poor quality of life. Itâs almost like people who take their prescriptions start feeling better and seeing improvements??? So they continue to take their prescriptions????
^^^ exactly. iâm dependent on not feeling like shit.
When I did the numbers on this the other day, using the National Pain Reportâs numbers on chronic pain patients, and cross-checking them with the ADAâs numbers on other illnesses, what I came up with was this:
10K deaths from opioid pills specifically.
100 million Americans with chronic pain.
.0001 percent of Americans with chronic pain will die from opioid overdose.Â
Thatâs what is called âstatistically insignificant.â
For perspective, a woman is twice as likely to die in childbirth in the developed world as a chronic pain patient is to die of an opioid overdose. Why arenât we talking about the âepidemicâ of women dying in childbirth? Youâre as likely to be killed by lightning which first hit someone else. WILL NO ONE THINK OF THE LIGHTNING EPIDEMIC?
For contrast, using the ADAâs numbers for diabetics n the US, .004 percent of diabetics die directly from complications of diabetes every year. While thatâs still a tiny number compared to the population, not only is it orders of magnitude larger in percentages, but 65K people died from complications of diabetes.
Six and a half times as many! Six and a half!Â
And thatâs not even talking about things like heart conditions and the like.
So I say this as a person who is currently and without shame on an opioid pain management plan (along with other solutions including massage, steroid shots, and other things that frankly arenât anybody elseâs business but whatever), and who has watched a very close friend lose her mother to diabetes complications this year⊠why are we okay with stigmatizing one medication (pain relief) over another type (insulin/diabetes).
Well, I mean, there really isnât any money in âaddiction counselingâ for insulin. There are just deaths.
I wish people saw pain the same way, because pain will kill you too.
IâM DEPENDANT ON NOT FEELING LIKE SHIT! Oh my god. @painandcats Thank you for that sentence!!
20 years of âyouâre too young to know what pain isâ, â Iâm old and I have arthritis, you donât know what pain isâ, IT TOOK GETTING CANCER FOR MY FAMILY TO AGREE THAT I MIGHT BE IN PAIN. I have been disabled since I was 14 (or 6, depending on which pain related ailment you look at).
Now I have oxycodone. Now my home is clean. Now I am involved in caring for my son. Now I can walk my dogs. Now I can face the prospect of having a service dog. Now I can go to church regularly. Now I can be active in my church group. Now I can hang out with my friends without spending 3 days recovering.
Opiates make my life possible.
I am so, so thankful for opiates!
they are a witchâs two familars and have never gotten along, but one day the witch disappears and so they must go on a cross-country search in order to bring her home. along the way, the cat learns to loosen up while the crow gains worldly experience, and they both become better friends
