His brows furrowed, the doctor confused as he examined the bite wound that now decorated the other man’s arm. Corvus had found the man unconscious and--against his better judgement--decided to take him back to the basement he currently calls home. He had been dismayed, after a brief examination, of the cause of the blood that had soaked through the torn sleeve--but the doctor also noted something.

There are no signs of infection.

This actually caused him to examine the wound again, but it was indeed a bite mark and it definitely was from a walker--but there are no signs that this man is infected. None. No fever, no pasty skin, no redness or pus in and around the wound. Is it possible? Any questions he thought of were pushed aside as the stranger started to show signs of consciousness. “Hey, come on, wake up.”

“I’m not giving you anything.” The doctor stated simply as he continued to write down notes from the latest batch of patients--including a Savior that was recently introduced to the iron--not even bothering to turn around. It wasn’t any of his patients as he had seen them for the day and if it was a new one, there would be a lot more urgency to the steps and shouts to alert him--so definitely one of the Saviors.

“So what is it?” He asked, finally putting down the pen as he turned around in his chair, removing his glasses.

“Come on.” The guard was currently out cold and the next shift change would be in 15 minutes, so hopefully that would give them enough time to get the hell out of here. He held out the bag that contained what he hoped was enough of Daryl’s things--it took him longer than he anticipated to find out where they stashed them, though he couldn’t recover the crossbow.

He motioned for the other man to grab the bag. “Look, I’m his doctor brother, we met a few times, remember?” He had been treating Daryl for the gunshot wound that one of the Saviors--Dwight he recalls--inflicted on him.

“Hey, hey, slow down there Gem.” The older man reassured his former coworker--whom he had discovered earlier out cold, which he promptly blamed on exhaustion given her condition at the time. “Don’t sit up too fast, you’re gonna make yourself pass out again and I rather you stay awake this time.” It would allow him to further assess her injuries, if she had any that he didn’t pick up from earlier.

“Come on now Gem, look at me.” He took his penlight to briefly shine them in her eyes to gauge their reaction speed. “What do you remember last?” Reunion can happen after he finds out if his friend needs any imminent treatment.

Corvus sat up with a start, the sound of the nearby disturbance alerted the older man to full awareness--and damn, he was hoping to get some sleep too. Though he preferred being alive rather than being eaten by walkers or killed by some asshat trying to steal his loot. Moving the rifle from his shoulder to his hands, the doctor moved from where he originally sat to the nearby open window.

Fortunately he was on the second floor so he didn’t have to worry about any undead intruders, he peeked out to see a group of walkers surrounding some poor fool. The doctor knows that if he wants to live, he shouldn’t get himself involved--but goddamn does his conscience like to remind him that no, you need to help or else you will lay in bed wondering if you could’ve saved them.

It’s one of the traits that mark him so different from his brother.

Letting out a sigh, Corvus aimed with the rifle and let out a shot to take out the walker closest to the guy. He just hopes that this doesn’t end with him getting shot or bitten.

Okay, I’m heading to bed, I’ve queued all but two of the starters so that they will be posted through the night and day tomorrow. I’m not sure about my internet status tomorrow because some tech people are here to do work on installation and other stuff, so anyone in town using the same brand as I am will be temporarily disconnected for roughly a day.

The two starters I will work on tomorrow are for @killedpeople and @theoriginallucille ( because I’m starting to go all fjkldsg and I don’t want to give out lame starters because you two deserve my best alright )

Considering the events of 8x01, would Neil have participated with the attack against the Saviors? Most likely not. He’s extremely conflicted about Negan, like he knows something should be done but at the same time--that’s his goddamn brother. Corvus genuinely cares about him, probably one of the only few that actually does that doesn’t involve brainwashing, Stockholm syndrome or just because Negan lets them do shit that other people might have something against.

However, at some point Corvus is gonna realize that this shit has gone on long enough and he’s not looking forward to the day that he has to fight against him.
