Feeling like shit again. I can't stop obsessing over money and my insane amount of debt that feels insurmountable. It's like everything is going off the rails right now. I've literally been staring at my desk not working for the last couple of hours. And my house is disgustingly messy and it is really bothering me. And I'm worried about one of my cats. And more than ever worried about Kendra. I don't know what to do with myself. I feel like getting out and doing something, but having barely a dime to my name at the moment makes that prospect seem stressful. I just want things to be okay, and they very rarely are these days. I wish I could tell myself the magical words to snap myself out of this mood. I don't have an answer for myself. I hate feeling like this.
I haven't been posting much lately. Things have been a little rough with Thomas' recovery, though he is very resilient and tough. Mostly, though, I'm just going through a lot of shit mentally. I've been switching meds around and am not sure what the right drug is. I basically just need to start shutting my mouth more and taking inventory of my life because I don't feel like I'm a great person at this point. It's beyond the bad self-esteem. I just don't like who I am, really. And I'm in therapy and working on things, but I'm not making progress as rapidly as I would like. Not even sure why I posted this, but whatevs.
Neko Atsume
I kind of like Neko Atsume, but I already have a life that's pretty much what the game is. "Oh, which stray cat is in the yard now? Time to put out food!"

As you all know, Kendra and I are insane animal people and would do anything for our five cats and two dogs. Well, the time has come when we have to do quite a bit but don't have all the funds we need to do it all. Thomas, our 5-year-old pitbull mix, started walking funny about two months ago. We...
I hate asking people for money, but I could really use help! If you can’t donate, please share and ask your friends to share, too. Love you all!
@quirkinitup wanted me to do something or other with six selfies, and I can never say no to her! So here's some stuff. Check out the whale cock. That is all.
Lucy (Lolo) looks like a full-sized cat in this picture. Insane! To me, she and Coco are still itty bitty kittens, especially when they pounce all over us at 5 in the morning.
……in marriage
I laughed way too loud at this one.
Project Monsoon Clever colorful street art that only appears when it rains
After the Superhydrophobic Street Art, which uses a superhydrophobic coating to create designs which appear only in the rain, here is the Project Monsoon, which uses the same concept, this time with hydrochromic painting, which reveals its color only when wet. This amazing and clever project was designed by a Korean team of designers, in collaboration with Pantone, to provide color to the streets of Seoul during the rainy season, while paying tribute to the Korean culture. A brilliant idea! Source: ufunk
The world is filled with such wonderful things.
Super cool!
MONEY CAT IS REAL!
You guys! I reblogged Money Cat yesterday, and two things happened. 1) I had a bill from the doctor's office for $220. I was a little annoyed and called to talk to someone in Billing. Turns out my insurance had made another payment and I only owed $30. SAME DAY I POSTED MONEY CAT. 2) I received an email this morning that my latest freelance payment had been wired to my account. Now, you might say this doesn't count because I knew the payment was coming soonish, but I didn't know the DAY! And it was the day after I posted Money Cat. 3) Today is also payday, but we aren't going to count that because I always get paid on the 10th. ...I now fear and slightly worship Money Cat.
IF YOU WANNA BE MY LOVER, YOU GOTTA deal with me apologizing for literally every little thing and constantly needing reassurance that you still like me
Accurate.
Sounds like me.
I wonder what cats dream of?
I have never been more riveted by a set of info before GIVE ME MORE
My absolute favorite show.
October is Dysautonomia Awareness month, so I am going to bore you all with a little bit of information about it, because you have probably never heard of it, and it is important for those fighting that their disease be known. I have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, or POTS, a form of dysautonomia. It is characterized by an array of debilitating symptoms due to the malfunction, or failing, of the Autonomic Nervous System, and the body’s inability to adjust to gravity (So clearly we should all pick up and move to the moon, haha). In short, anything a healthy body is able to do automatically, such as: digestion, oxygenation, regulation of blood flow and the heart, breathing, and so on, our bodies struggle to do. So little is known about this illness that most of the time when I meet a new doctor, or end up in the emergency room, I have to explain to the doctors what it is. POTS is never diagnosed without another disease, for it is a syndrome caused by the body’s inability to fight off another disease. There is no cure, and little to no treatment, but barely any research is being done. The only way to subside the symptoms is to control what is causing it, if that is even possible because POTS is often caused by other rare diseases. In addition, POTS patients are chemical resistant so limited medications can be taken without severe reactions. Instead POTS continues to break the body down, and before long the patient has a list of diseases to cope with; I have 7, a pretty severe case. Getting sick changed my life and a cure would be amazing, but it all starts out with just a little bit of awareness. Though POTS is rarely a patients biggest health problem, it makes living a normal day-to-day life very difficult to say the least. If you read this far, thank you, sorry for the super long post. I hope this will help shed some light on all my hospital stays, or if you have ever witnessed one of my countless fainting or seizure episodes (Sorry about that— not my best moments). Life isn’t always easy, but it is a beautful fight that I will surely win. I definitely could not do it without the help of my wonderful family and friends. If you have any questions feel free to ask, and Happy October!
(Reblogging this one on my main blog.)
Yes! Most doctors haven’t even heard of POTS, which is ridiculous considering between 1 and 3 million Americans have it (source: http://www.dysautonomiainternational.org/page.php?ID=30). Our medical community needs some help here...
