so  for  the  time  being  i’m  really  struggling  at  having  more  than  one  blog  so  i’m  gonna  be  temporarily  moving  stiles  back  over  to  @burnedhope

i  think  void  did  leave  long  lasting  things  for  s.tiles  to  deal  with.   one  of  the  biggest  ones  is  that  sometimes  when  he  wakes  up  he  can’t  read  anything  for  about  an  hour.    it  doesn’t  happen  every  day  or  every  week  but  it  does  usually  happen  for  an  entire  week  when  it  does  happen  but  only  in  the  mornings.   he  used  to  get  that  oh  god  it’s  happening  again  feeling  but  now  he  mostly  just  knows  he  just  has  to  deal  with  it  until  it  stops

me  n  rina  are  watching  season  4  right  now  and  it’s  so  insane  to  me  how  gently  s.tiles  speaks  to  m.alia.  this  man  is  so  so  patient  with  her  even  though  he  doesn’t  have  a  single  ounce  of  patience.   it  just  makes  me  want  to  cry  because  the  erasure  of  stiles’  feelings  for  malia  in  season  6  upsets  me  so  greatly  because  it’s  just  not  true.  s.tiles  cared  so  very  deeply  about  her  and  still  does  now.  just,  m.alia  is  so  extremely  important  to  s.tiles  and  it  makes  me  sad  that  they  had  to  erase  that  to  make  s.tiles  and  l.ydia  happen  even  though  i  adore  them  too.

MALIA TATE.

      people  were  confusing,  stiles  the  most  confusing  of  all.  malia  could  still  remember  how  happy  she  had  been  with  him.  he  was  her  friend.  no,  he  was  her  best  friend.  the  one  person  who  did  not  judge  her  or  look  at  her  differently.  he  helped  her,  and,  of  course,  she  had  fallen  in  love  with  him.  but  then  everything  was  broken  and  malia  could  never  understand  what  she  had  done  wrong.  it  only  made  more  sense  when  she  learned  of  him  and  lydia  and…  well,  she  was  certainly  not  a  genius  but  she  began  to  understand.  only  it  seemed  she  had  understood  it  all  wrong?  why  were  people  so  confusing?  ❝  what  about  lydia?  ❞  her  question  did  not  come  laced  with  jealousy  or  with  a  demanding  tone  (  though  she  did  feel  a  pull  at  her  heartstrings  to  think  of  the  two  of  them.  )  most  of  all,  malia  was  curious,  still  trying  to  understand.  ❝  i  thought  scott  said  you  two  were  together?  ❞

what  about  lydia  ?    a  great  question.   how  does  someone  manage  to  feel  nothing  when  they’re   finally  with  the  girl  that  he  dreamed  of  being  with  since  they  were  in  the  3rd  grade  ?   how  does  he  explain  that  it  didn’t  feel  right.  and  that’s  because  it  didn’t  feel  anywhere  near  the  way  he  felt  when  he  was  with  malia.   how  does  he,   outloud   --   with  words,   say  that  to  her  ?  to  the  girl  he  walked  away  from.    that  feels  like  something  he  should  keep  to  himself.    “    yeah,  that  --  that  one  did  not  work  out.  a  surprise  really  if  you  take  a  look  at  my  record  for  not  fucking  up  good  things.   oh right  ---      ”    so  of  course  he  doesn’t  keep  it  to  himself.     he  sounds  defeated,   exhausted  and  a  little  bit  drunk.   fingers  pick  at  the  label  on  the  bottle.   honest  words  spill  easily,    way  too  easily.   “   but  how  could  it  work  when  it  didn’t  feel  like  it  did   --  ”    a  hiccup.    “    when  it  didn’t  feel  like  it  did  when  i  was  with  you.  ”

❛     JUST  GO  WITH  IT  ,  STILINSKI.          it’ll  open  up  our  creativity.         i  can’t  think  with  all  the  pent  up  energy  in  my  brain  ————-     ❜        her  head  shakes  as  she  guides  his  hands  to  the  proper  position  &  has  alexa  play  something  they  can  dance  to.         in  a  breath  ,  she’s  leading  him  in  a  full  on  waltz.

“   just  go  with  it.    ”    yeah,   he’ll  just  go  with  it  like  this  whole  situation  isn’t  the  most  anxiety  inducing  thing  in  the  world.   for  sure.   he  lets  himself  be  led  even  though  he’s  pretty  sure  he  steps  on  her  foot  more  than  once.   this  is  absolutely  panic  attack  in  the  making.  

“     lo    ---   losen  my  arms.  yeah,  that’s  so  easy.  you’re  right,  person  i  met  five  minutes  ago.     ”    he  struggles  to  loosen  his  arms,   they’re  probably  more  stiff  now.

     she  is  not  sure  what  it  means.  not  the  way  their  knees  are  touching  or  the  way  he  smells  like  guilt.  it  had  not  been  her  intention,  to  upset  him.  malia  was  being  honest,  yet  somehow  that  never  seems  to  work  well.  even  now,  after  so  long.  ❝  oh?  ❞  the  brunette  mumbles,  grabbing  the  bottle  of  whiskey  and  taking  a  long  sip  for  she  knows  she  would  need  it  to  keep  this  conversation  going.  it  burns  deep  and  for  a  moment  she  wishes  she  could  feel  its  effects  easier.  ❝  i  had  no  idea  you  felt  that  way.  thought  you’d  forgotten  about  me.  ❞  it  wouldn’t  have  come  as  a  surprise  after  all  they  went  through.

“    forget  about  you  ?   ”     how  could  he  forget  about  her  when  it  no  longer  feels  weird  to  not  sleep  in  the  middle  of  the  bed  but  instead  without  her  holding  him  the  way  she  did   ?   or  how  every  time  his  dad  talks  about  malia  he  gets  that  sad  look  in  his  eye  like  he  knows  that  stiles  lost  the  love  of  his  life  ?   he  shakes  his  head  and  watches  her  take  a  drink.   he  lets  out  a  long  sigh  and  taps  her  knee  with  his  pointer  finger  just  to  be  annoying.   he  doesn’t  really  know  what  he’s  doing  but   he  could  lie,   it  would  be  so  easy  but  he  doesn’t.     “    i  could  never,  malia.    ”

s.tiles’  jeep  does  still  work  and  he  drives  it  most  days  but  he  also  bought  a  new  one  after  moving  to  b.eacon  h.ills.  it’s  black  and  just  the  newest  version  of  his  moms.   he  refuses  to  ever  get  rid  of  that  one  but  he  also  knows  he  needs  something  more  reliable  these  days.

"    well,    you  don’t  have  to  stay.    ”      the  hand  with   bottle  (   the  dark  liquid  mostly  gone  )    in  it  points  towards  the  door  without  even  looking  up  from  his  phone.   “  there’s  the  door,  you’re  more  than  welcomed  to  use  it.    i  might  even  prefer  it  if  you  did.   ”  and  this  must  be  his  rock  bottom.   he  never  thought  that  he  was  capable  of  being  mean  to  her  like that  but  he  just  doesn’t  care  anymore.

that’s  the  last  thing  he  wants.   but  instead  he  says  nothing.   what  is  he  supposed  to  say  right  now  ?   how  is  he  supposed  to  pretend  like  he’s  not  completely  falling  apart.   everything  settled,   life  went  on  and  people  stopped  trying  to  kill  them  but  he  feels  it  every  single  day.   and  he  then  relives  it  all.  over  and  over  and  over  again  throughout  the  day.    so  what  is  he  supposed  to  do  with  that  ?   he  takes  another  sip  of  his  drink,   looking  at  the  girl  that  always  seemed  to  be  free  of  judgment  towards  his  fucked  up  and  messy  parts.   stiles  took  it  for  granted  because  he  didn’t  deserve  it.     “   i  can’t  stop  seeing  everything.  ”    he  breathes  it  out  like  he’s  been  holding  his  breath  for  years  and  maybe  he  has.
