it’s literally SO easy to not have inappropriate interactions with minors. it’s incredibly easy and no one is asking anything of you that isn’t already the basic standards you’re expected to meet off the internet in real life. it’s also not like anyone is saying people should be segregated based on age, that’s uhhhhhh a bit of a straw man/slippery slope fallacy situation.

when i was 14 i was friends with adults and spent a lot of time around people markedly older than me, but in a way that was entirely beneficial and healthy for me because the people i was friends with understood that i was a child and interacted with me appropriately. it’s often actively helpful for young people to have healthy role models and people they can ask for help or advice who have more life experience and resources than they do. those people just need to be good responsible people who are aware of the power inequality in those dynamics and stay in their fucking lane.
