Supernatural one shot ~ Kid Sam
Dean had gotten himself and the others breakfast when he noticed that Sam hadn't come out of his room that morning. "Hey Jack, Cas have you seen Sammy ?" Cas looked a little bewildered at the question since usually Sam Winchester was the more responsible of the brothers despite being the youngest, on top of that Dean doesn't really lose him that often... At least not without some difficulty, the fallen angel shook his head, he hadn't seen the youngest brother that morning yet. "I haven't seen him either" answered the nephilim Dean and Cas had effectively adopted together, " I'll see if he's still in his room, if not, he's not in the bunker, I checked everywhere else " Dean said while he gave the two angelic blooded family members in front of him breakfast.
Knock knock knock ....... No reply, ' d@mn it ' the thought passed through his mind, oh will it maybe paranoia overtaking Dean in that moment due to that several things he's encountered so far but he opened the door to his little brother's bedroom, " Who are you ?!" Instead of the full grown Sam Dean had grown accustomed to over the years he found a child version hidden in a corner, he didn't blame him he was in a place that he didn't know and their dad wasn't exactly in a state to answer phone calls anymore so that was definitely not giving young Sam any comfort, ' I'll have to check my other phones later ' " It's Dean, Sammy, I uh " cr@p this was not on his planner today " Did you find him Dean?" Cas called from further down the bunker hall, " you don't look like him, and who's that?!" Small Sam said growing a bit hostile though that did last long as Cas and Jack teleported (flew?) into the room with them which had the predictable side effect of young Sam threatening (or at least trying to) the two with sliver balde he had on his person.
"Sam put that down their not demons!" Dean said a little louder than was probably necessary but it got the job done since Sam paused like he only now believed that he was Dean, time travel is seriously something that was getting on Dean's nerves lately, " Is that?" Jack questioned, right he probably didn't know what they looked like when they were younger and Dean imagined that any child pictures that existed of them were taken by Bobby and hidden so that John wouldn't find them and throw a fit but that wasn't on the top of Dean's concerns " Cas, Jack meet younger Sam, Sam meet our er my "friends" Cas and Jack, their angels" Sam blinked at them, John didn't really believe that angels were a thing and because of that pretty much framed them as none existent for the two brothers, so his confusion was pretty justified, " But Jack's not-" "I know Cas, it just made it easier".
After getting little Sam up to speed, Jack took his newly shrunk uncle and decided to hangout with him, Dean just told him no powers before they went off, " Have an idea how or who turned him younger?" Dean asked Cas, they hadn't met another witch that ate children so that was off the table and any other being Dean could think of were also pretty much off the table too, "I have one idea, though it requires a prayer to a certain archangel" Cas said rather smugly in Dean's opinion ' is this pay back for earlier?' " Fine, Gabriel if you can hear me, we need your help" if there was going to be any more to the prayer that part was silent in any case it worked and Gabriel who could call himself Hermes and no one would know the difference appeared in the bunker " Well I was certainly surprised to hear a prayer from you of the two, what's up?" He wasn't as hostile to them now since Sam nurtured him back to health, after an explanation from his brother Gabriel practically howled with laughter once he composed himself he looked at the two now annoyed unpredicted lovers " No need to worry about it being any enemy, I did it" which landed him the position of babysitter of Sam and Jack for the rest of the day
