I can’t find my post!!

I made a post awhile ago about a Percy Jackson x Danny phantom xover but I never read the books….

I’m about to finish blood of Olympus and now I have a starting line!!!

Same premise, Danny goes to camp half-blood (post boo) and no one can figure out whos kid he is and Percy is being held back by Annabeth before he charges to Olympus and chews out the gods for not claiming this whole ass 17 yr old.

Not only that but the kid refuses to believe he has a godly parent.

Nico keeps getting weird vibes from this guy, like he’s dead but not????

Meanwhile Danny is avoiding Rachel Dare like the plague and is getting increasingly annoyed by these assholes saying his parents lied to him.

Meanwhile clockwork is waiting for the perfect moment to strike. (He’s Danny’s ghost dad ever since his amulet fused with Danny’s core)

One night at dinner when EVERYONE decided to show up a glowing watch shines above Danny’s head.

Percy looks like he’s about to blow a geyser while Annabeth and Chiron are going through all their knowledge about the gods to figure out who tf it is.

because THAT wasn’t possible.

Meanwhile there’s no cabin for any time gods yet so he’s stuck in the Hermes cabin for a bit.

The next day after a rousing game of capture the flag that Danny spent trying to get ahold of the old stopwatch.

As everyone returns to camp there’s a giant commotion….caused by the giant cabin looming over the Zeus cabin with the Symbol of a watch at the top, and a glowing blue man reading a book.

Danny yells “Get down here you asshole!”

CW appears in front of Danny

“Please tell me I’m wrong” Danny groans

“About~~~” CW Grins looking towards Percy and Annabeth

“Well if it isn’t my favorite grandchildren! Thanks again for disposing of that old remnant, for some reason that old shell keeps reforming”

Chaos ensues

When he gets to camp Danny recognizes the name, piper thinks he’s a fan of her dads until he gives her a massive hug says he owes her big time for helping out his friend.

The main reason everyone thought Danny was a Hephaestus kid was because one day he was caught walking around on his cell phone. Everyone freaked out but it turned out that not only was there perfect signal and infinite battery, it actually REPELLED monsters.

Danny thought it be a not to bring his family’s brand of mad science to camp half blood lest Leo Valdez ever decide to take over the world and has now refused access to his phone

So technically being a son of chronos would make him a titan or god not a Demi god so I thought of this

Post trials of Apollo, Apollo goes to camp half blood to hang with his kids and finds a super chill young titan.

When other gods stop by to tell him off for directly interacting with their kids he denies it

Apollo: I swear I’m not being fatherly AT ALL! How DARE you accuse me of breaking zeus’ orders! In fact! I’m working hard to build a relationship with the new titan that just emerged to prevent him from going against or ESTEEMED king!

Hermes: what new titan?!?!?!?

Eventually the gods start taking turns spending time with their kids using Danny as an excuse until Zeus finds out

Cause the other gods are the children of Chronos as well but somehow came out as gods rather than titans, but I'm pretty sure there are several titans that were born to other titans. Either way, can be give Divine blessings to the other campers in his ghost form? Because he has distinctly not agreed to any non-interference deals and considering that he's taken down Vortex he definitely wouldn't be impressed with Zeus.

The Ring of Rage sits upon the Ghost King's left hand, just as it has for all of time. It collects the King's anger, clearing their mind and storing it away for a better time, a better use. Pariah Dark's conquest was fuelled by its power and nearly depleted it. The new King (Phantom, they call him, but the Ring calls him Dan-Dan. The Ring thinks it's funny) has enough passive anger to comfortably fill it back up. ("I have issues," Dan-Dan tells it one night, "lots and lots of issues. I get it from my grandfather.") It takes on a less discreet form, at the request of the King, when they go on trips. Usually a little silver band. Sometimes gold, if the Ring is feeling particularly happy. But it likes taking on known forms. It's in its nature, of course. The Ring of a nearly god-like King should be known. Feared. Not that the King cares exceptionally much.

But the King doesn't oppose the Ring's changes. He even hums (a low vibration that would make a weaker artifact shiver) and runs his thumb across the Ring's new form. It's red now, with two curved lines and a circle on top. The King's never seen it turn red, let alone have a symbol. When he asks, the Ring proudly tells him that there are rings that feed off of anger in this new dimension. Why shouldn't it look like them?

I fucking love “The Price of Peace,” and I’ve read a ton of similar fics, but it just hit me that it’s always one of the Bats (preferably Tim) who ends up being the sacrificial “bride.”

But consider this instead: Danny.

Danny leads the rebellion. Danny topples the evil king. Danny wins the war. And after all that, the very last thing he wants is to rule a kingdom. So he sets up a council—shared power, equal voices, no more crowns—and immediately clocks out of “Supreme Leader” mode forever.

The problem is that the neighboring kingdoms are still nervous because, shockingly, wars leave scars, so Danny volunteers to act as an ambassador to help stabilize things. Just some light diplomacy. A few meetings. Nothing serious.

And then—whoops. One treaty leads to another, politics do what politics do, and suddenly Danny is engaged to Tim Drake as part of a peace agreement.

From Danny’s POV? He’s basically a hostage in a fancy palace and he is like: You mean I live in a secure palace, don’t have to make executive decisions anymore, and my only job is to exist politely and attend dinners?

Early. Fucking. Retirement.

From the Bat side, they think they’ve gained leverage—an important political figure placed conveniently close, possibly a spy, definitely dangerous.

Danny is just sleeping eight hours a night for the first time in years and discovering hobbies.

Everyone thinks they’re playing a high-stakes political game.

Danny thinks he finally won.

Mmmmmmm. Should I? Yeah

Danny's been a part of this marriage for just over a month now, and he can confidently say that it's the best decision he's ever made.

He doesn't have to rule, doesn't have to make huge decisions that'll impact thousands of beings, doesn't even have to fight!

Honestly, he couldn't ask for a better arrangement.

Sure, the marriage was a bit outta left field, but after a bit of negotiation with both the overseeing parties and a private conversation with his to-be spouse, everything was worked out with pretty much all positives for everyone involved.

It was kind of a Hades/Persephone deal. Though, instead of one living in one place full time while the other moved every six months, they both spend six months in Realm League 1-D (his husband's home realm) and his own haunt in the Infinite Realms.

Well, technically speaking, they were supposed to move between every few months. Red didn't want to be away from his family and duties for that long, and Danny was more than okay with staying in Realm L 1-D for as long as was needed as long as they at least visited his haunt every year or so.

Another thing that Danny agreed to for his husband's benefit was that he didn't get to know his real name until he was ready. Danny knew from personal experience that secret identities were important, so he didn't want to pressure Red into giving him his name 'til he was one-hundred-percent ready and willing.

Tim had agreed to be part of a diplomatic marriage for exactly forty-five days and he still couldn't find any evidence of contract violations or suspicious activity.

Danny, the name of the being he's now bound to, didn't do anything that a normal human teenager didn't do (aside from the whole married at nineteen thing, but that also wasn't unheard of). He kept up with current events, practiced skills, and even started up at Gotham U!

Tim felt a little out of his depth, but he wasn't going to admit that. He's adaptable. Has been since the day he was born. A skill his parents, and later Bruce, polished to perfection.

The marriage arrangement had been suggested, actually, by the JLD, discussed at length with the JL, and then debriefed the Titans and Young Justice. It had been a consideration before the Infinite Realms had even opened negotiations because Zatana said that moves were being made and that the guaranteed safety of their home world was at stake.

Then, when Danny was presented with the proposal about two days into negotiations, he'd made sure to address pretty much every word with the scrutiny of a king looking for loopholes. (Not that he'd find any. Every single Bat and Bird and looked over the contract before even turning it over to the lawyers in the League to look over) After that, he'd asked to see his intended and talk with them separately. Naturally, Tim stepped forward before any discussion could be made. He'd thought it through thoroughly and had come to the conclusion that he was the best choice.

The interrogation was...not what he expected, but he made it through without telling a single lie or misspeaking. Really, he deserves a prize for that. It was kind of unnerving to be on the receiving end of a stone cold stare like that, but nothing can compare to Alfred's Look of Disappointment™.

The whole "moving between realms" part of the deal is what concerned him the most, if he's being honest. He didn't like the idea of being cut off from back up for half of the year.

Danny must be able to read his mind (something he mentally noted to share with the others) because he said that he didn't mind staying in their Realm for most of the time on the condition that he and Tim go to his "haunt" at least yearly.

There had to be another catch. There was something Tim was missing. He just hopes he isn't too late to realize it.

The only thing that Tim was really relieved about was that he wasn't required, by contract or demand, to share his real name or face with the being he was now married to. He knew it was an inevitability, but he's glad to put it off for a while longer.

Practice Your Skills

“You ever look at someone and wonder how hard it would be to get past their defenses and stab them.

Damian snapped his head to the side, looking at the young boy now standing beside him.

The boy put his hands up in front of him with a wince, “Not that I ever do that. Totally not, whaaaat???”

Damian huffed and turned back around to watch the gala participants.

“It’s just you kinda looked like you were contemplating the logistics of stabbing Mrs.Halterguild for squeezing your cheeks.”

Damian scowled. Then, after a moment’s beat, “It would not be very difficult. She is nearly blind in her left eye, I would be able to approach without repost.”

The kid hummed, turning back as well before motioning to another group to the far right, “What about Mr. Beckensmith, he’s a retired vet right?”

Damian rolled his eyes and scowled harder, “The man has only seen the battlefield of an office as he bribed his way from being fully enlisted and instead managed to pay for increasingly higher ranks and medals. He is a disgrace.”

The kid cocked his head to the side, looking suspicious for a second and then nodding with concession, “Fair enough, I bet I could get close enough too.”

Damian scoffed.

“What, don’t believe me?”

Damian leveled a doubtful glare at the civilian, making it clear by looking him up and down, “Hardly.”

The other smirked dangerously, “If I can get close enough to poke him and get away without being noticed, will you believe me?”

Damian narrowed his eyes but nodded succinctly and watched as the boy immediately took off, making a few loops around other people before finally backing up to Mr. Beckensmith and poking him on the opposite side as a group moved past.

Damian pursed his lips. Interesting. Certainly better than he would expect from an amateur. And an amateur civilian at that.

When the boy returns to his side Damian brushes off the asks of meaningless praise.

“Come on, I did it, now you have to go poke Mrs. Halterguild without getting caught.”

Damian sneers, “And why would I do that?”

“Because I don’t believe you either, the woman’s old but I bet she sees you and squeezes your cheeks again. Old ladies just have a sixth sense for that stuff you know.”

Damian nearly growls but sets off on his task. He makes sure to stay on her left side, but the woman turns at the last second, forcing Damian to use a passing waiter as cover to remain hidden and finally get close enough to poke her gaudy dress.

Then he sidles back up to the boy on the edges and provides his best ‘I am more capable than you’ scowl. The boy simply laughs and says, “Who’s next?”

They spend the night like that, choosing each other’s targets to attack non-lethally as though they were attempting to stab them, and Damian finds the gala going by in a significantly less tedious manner.

Right up until the boy laughs at him when he chooses a target. Only one bark of laughter escapes, but it is enough for Damian to consider stabbing him as well. If only with a butter knife.

Instead, Damian grinds his teeth and asks, “What is so different about Masters, do you really believe you would be unable to succeed?”

The other gives a breathless chuckle, “I’m pretty sure even you wouldn’t be able to successfully stab Vlad Masters,” The boy’s shoulders sag even as his jaw tightens with irritation, “He sees everything.”

Damian narrows his eyes. Something naws at the back of his brain but currently the critique of his capabilities takes precedence.

“I would be capable of stabbing Masters even without my favored sword,” Damian scowls and stands taller with annoyance.

“Sure you can, man,” At this, the boy quirks a sharp smile, “If you can actually get him, I’ll personally get you a magic sword,” he says with an air of amused indulgence. Like he thinks Damian is some insipid child saying he will find a fairy.

Damian grits his teeth and shakes the other’s hand, then immediately sets off after his target. How dare this civilian question him! He is the Son of the Bat, this is not even a challenge!

Damian growls as his approach is thwarted for the third time by the man turning in his direction and almost spotting him. How dare he! He will not fail!

Just as he reaches to jab the man in the side, already poised to make his escape, Masters whips around and clamps his fingers around Damian’s wrist with a vice grip.

“Really Daniel I thought we were over-“ Masters pauses, looking at Damian critically as he glares at the man’s offending hand, “You are not young Daniel.”

“Remove your hand from my person at once,” Damian growls.

Instead of listening to Damian’s very sensible directions, Masters tightens his grip and twists his arm, most likely in an attempt to hurt him.

“Now why is a child attempting to-“

Damian doesn’t wait to hear the rest of the man’s words, sliding a dagger into his other hand and swinging towards him, until that hand is caught mid-movement as well.

“Heh-Hey there!”

Damian snaps his head to the side just in time to see Grayson take his dagger and slide it into his pocket. He ignores the bark of laughter he hears from across the room.

Masters’ hand disappears from his arm suspiciously fast, “Mr. Wayne, what a pleasure!”

Damian looks over his other shoulder to see his father standing behind him, a thin smile on his face, “Vladimir!”

His father’s figure quickly obscures his vision, putting an arm over Masters’ shoulders in a way that clearly makes him irritated but forces him to follow as he is steered away.

“Dami, I thought we talked about the stabbing at formal events,” Grayson says through a strained smile as he looks over the crowd to make sure no else saw.

“Tt, it was merely a demonstration of my skills, he was in no real danger until he refused to release me. I simply sought to correct that mistake.”

Grayson pinchesthe bridge of his nose, “Demonstration for who, Dames? We all already know your skills.”

“Tt,” Damian scowls and turns away.

Instead of pushing it, Grayson simply sighs heavily, “Just stay out of trouble for the rest of the gala okay? We’re almost done.”

Damian scoffed and waited for Grayson to leave. Once he does, Damian finally looks over to where he had been lingering with the boy.

Gone.

Clearly he’d taken the cowards way out when he’d seen that Damian had been accosted by Masters.

Pitiful.

Damian spends the rest of the night scowling from the wall and looking serendipitously for a head of black hair and blue eyes unrelated to him.

Of course it’s not until they are actively leaving that Damian sees him and immediately splits off of from his family.

He approaches with irritation, preparing to grab the other by the shoulder when suddenly he turns around and blue eyes meet Damian’s green.

“You,” Damian sneers.

“Me,” The other shrugs. He has an amused smile on his face, though it was strained at the edges.

They stare in silence for a minute, before the other’s smile grows and sharpens once more, “I didn’t expect you to actually try to stab him, y’know,” A slight laugh escapes him, “Not that it was unwelcome by any means, but still, unexpected.”

Damian scowls again, glaring at this foolish civilian.

“Oh, I never introduced myself did I?!”

The boy exclaims and holds out a hand, smile dangerous, “Daniel Fenton. Or if we’re being technical,” a pause as Damian finally returns the gesture and finds his hand trapped, “Daniel Masters, a pleasure to meet you Damian.”

“Hurry up little badger,” A voice says beside them, and Damian notices that it is indeed Vladimir Masters.

The man approaches, placing a heavy hand on Fenton’s shoulder, making the boy go taut, and then they both step into a dark car, leaving Damian on the front steps.

Damian’s anger flares and he shoots a glare directly to the boy getting into the car. It dies the moment they meet eyes and Damian sees the fear hiding in the other’s eyes.

Fear that Damian is all too familiar with.

Fear that reminded Damian of himself. Reminded him of his own eyes when he’d been under his grandfather.

But why did Fenton look like that?

Had some minutes to think some thoughts about this.

I think Danny should get Damian a magic sword. Even though Damian didn't manage to catch Vlad. Danny should do it as a Thank You for trying to legitimately stab him and also for making the gala bearable for a few hours.

Obviously Vlad has Danny on a pretty tight leash in this, so I'm not sure how he would get a magic sword much less have the freedom to deliver it. But I think it would be a cool thing to have happen next. Give Damian even more questions and reasons to investigate. Especially if Damian catches on that Danny likely risked (and possibly received) punishment to give this gift. Make Damian wonder Danny would do that when Damian didn't even complete tge challenge.

To Danny it was just a gift. Something for the guy who’d made his evening one of the most bearable in months. A bit of appreciation for the kid who’d absolutely been about to actually stab dear old Vlad without hesitation.

And yeah, maybe delivering on the bet either way was a bit of a flex, too: one last extension of their competition. He’d seen the way the other kid’s eyes lit up at the prospect of a magic sword, even under the feigned disinterest. Seen the challenge in them too, the same disbelief that other kid had radiated at the outset of their little game. Well, Danny decided, he’d deliver. A lasting last word to stretch out that sense of something like connection just a bit longer.

Rising to meet that challenge had been… fun. That it had danced deniably close to the edge of showing a bit too much skill was just an added bonus.

Especially once they really got into it. Stabby Kid wasn’t exactly subtle either. Fun to know some of the kids of Gotham probably navigated a city full of rogues about as normally as some Amity Parkers.

Getting the gift and getting it to him was a bit tough, under the circumstances, but it was nice, for a minute, to have something to work towards again. Some goal he could try and accomplish behind Vlad’s back for the first time in… too long.

So, he sent off something cool, expecting nothing else to come of it, except that somewhere out there a rich kid with apparent blade skills would be supremely confused.

He grinned to himself. Totally worth the consequences.

To Damian it’s a challenge, a call for help, a repayment in advance for Damian’s assistance. (And if he’s more correct about a couple of those things than Danny would admit even to himself? Well.)

Whatever could scare a child with access to such weapons, and to the skills ‘Danny’ had demonstrated, must be serious. Why else would he have devised such a test of Damian’s skills at the gala if not to determine whether he could be of assistance? Clearly, whoever he was, he had read the room well to single Damian out.

Well, now Damian is armed, he was always dangerous, and he does not intend to leave this challenge unanswered.

Vlad has no idea that, by instigating an attempted stabbing, he’s about to bring down the entire bat clan on his head.

He does not deserve a magic sword, and delivery on that would be a pain in the ass

You know what he gets for trying?

A magic shank

One Danny makes himself, magics with his own ecto and what little he can recall that Pandora taught him before Vlad barred him from the Zone

And okay, it’s not a traditional shank, but it turns out trying to sharpen his tooth brush took fucking forever and then Vlad noticed, and weirdly it was easier to get his hands on an actual pocket knife

That means it has a metal blade though, and that takes to the runes much better than plastic, so it’s a win in the end

And a pocket knife folds up nice and small, easy for Danny to snag spare change to cover and send a small envelope back to Gotham with just the knife and a note

Maybe the note is a bit much, but Damian did fail

“No swords for you buddy, better luck next time - Undefeated Danny”

And if Damian could easily hide the pocket knife for the next Gotham gala and stab Vlad with something that’d actually do some damage, ghost form or not?

Danny’s maybe hoping no big brothers swoop to the rescue next time

It’s almost worth Vlad’s punishment for laughing and setting Damian up in the first place

Damian’s confused at first, by receiving a letter at all and then at the pocket knife, but he knows exactly where it’s from

Clearly it’s a taunt, and a poor one; the knife cannot be magical

Except it only reflects green light, and when he leaves it in the cave with the blade open and heads upstairs, he sees the glow from the elevator

Danny got him a fucking magic knife

Clearly this is related to Vlad’s uncanny ability to detect his presence; if Danny is so well versed in magic, the man controlling him must be too

(Dami doesn’t put ghosts together until one of JLDark swear a blue streak at him for bringing the knife to the watchtower to analyse)

Damian’s Magic Consolation Shank is a fantastic mental image.

Love the idea that he brings it to the Watchtower and pulls it out to analyze only for any JLDark members present to scramble backwards like “Where TF did you get a Ghost Knife?!?”

It would be especially funny if the JLDark members like, backtracked the ectoplasm to figure out which ghost empowered it only to find that it was Phantom, the Protector/Embodiment of Balance, who is (seemingly, mind you) an ancient that has no previous history of empowering anything besides the Fenton tech (which was more personal use). So now it’s painting an even more concerning picture since this kid who has enough favor with Phantom to get such a weapon but is still living in fear.

Just, the whole panic of

“Ghost weapon?!”

“GHOST WEAPON EMPOWERED BY THE ANCIENT, PHANTOM, WHO FAMOUSLY DOESN’T DO THAT?!”

“THE KID WHO GOT THE WEAPON IS LIVING IN CONSTANT FEAR DESPITE SEEMING TO HAVE THAT MUCH FAVOR WITH PHANTOM?!”

It just escalates into the JLD thinking that there’s a ticking time bomb esc scenario going on (and technically, there probably is, but not in the way that they’re thinking) between Vlad Masters, Daniel “Danny” Fenton, and Phantom.

JLD tries to (politely) summon the ancient, Phantom, to see if he can tell them what the heck is going on here. No one here has dealt with him personally before, but all the accounts of him seem to indicate he’d want to help the kid.

What they get back is the summoning equivalent of the “the number you are trying to reach has been disconnected” message.

For Phantom. The Protector of Balance.

NOW they are convinced some apocalyptic-level crisis is brewing in the middle of Wisconsin.

(Also, if this became a full plot, I think it would be really fun if it all came full circle: if the knife weren’t actually used much, he keeps it on him but hidden, so Vlad doesn’t even know it exists.

Shenanigans and plot happen, rescue attempts are undertaken, Danny and Damian work together to fix whatever it is Vlad did and/or is holding over him.

In a climactic moment, the two of them are fighting Vlad. Vlad is distracted by Danny, monologuing about how he never learns, etc., clearly convinced he’s about to win. Which is exactly when Damian, not actually fully disarmed, sneaks up behind Vlad and finally stabs him right where he’d tried to poke him during the gala. The knife, being a ghost knife, actually manages to do damage, and the two of them are able to incapacitate him.

As the two of them catch their breaths, Damian looks Danny dead in the eye:

Damian: “You owe me a magic sword.”

Danny, laughing breathlessly: “Took you long enough.”)

Si-OC reincarnates as an Uchiha. I will probably be writing this sometime so pls do NOT steal the names and story.

Warning: SPOILER FOR FUTURE STORY OC IF I DECIDE TO WRITE IT.

So, this can go many ways, sorry if it confuses you:

First, reborn as Uchiha Kushito, older brother to Sasuke and younger brother to Itachi. 3 year age difference. Born with chakra sensitivity because suddenly gaining chakra makes things complicated (Inspired by Nara Shikako in Dreaming of Sunshine). Now this can go many ways. This is either in canon or in another self-insert. e.g. Dreaming of Sunshine, The Many Lives of Hatake Raiden or Commit this Body to the Ground because these are my favourites. But probably canon or DoS.

Kushito has a hard time deciding if they should interfere or not, depending on how much he sees Kushina. If he sees Kushina enough, he might decide to give a warning, like have a full-on breakdown, saying he doesn't want Kushina-nee to go, having enough tact to say it was a nightmare, mentioning the masked ghost who walked through walls and that everyone blamed him after (referring to the Uchiha segregation though no one picks up on that). Minato is probably told by Kushina about Kushito's breakdown. (Yes, Mikoto did want to name her son after Kushina but she had a son so changed it slightly.)

They either survive or not. They probably don't so no one knows Kushito warned them or everyone dismisses him. Kushito decides to become a historian in the clan and goes around asking all the old grannies and grandpas about stories, establishing himself as a future advisor in the clan. (Everyone thinks he will not become a shinobi since chakra sensitivity). If it's the DoS universe, then Kushito might be introduced to Shikako or at least the Nara and Uchiha will be closer because their second-borns have the same condition.

Kushito spends a bunch of time with Itachi and tries to help his mental health especially after Itachi becomes a Shinobi. He makes sure Itachi has a hobby (art, gardening, anything really). Shisui also comes over sometimes. Kushito has found a partner in crime. (They have similar personalities, though Kushito is a bit more shy and mature. They wreak havoc together.)

Kushito frequently tries to (or succeeds) at sneaking out. He is on a mission to find other old grannies and grandpas to tell him stories (if he's preparing to set up an Old People's Club, then no one has to know). Mikoto also introduces him to the clan library so he nags everyone and anyone to teach him to read.

Then Itachi is traumatised and Kushito blows when everyone only congratulates Itachi, barely hiding his own Sharingan.

Kushito absolutely adores Sasuke and becomes somewhat of a favourite brother since he plays with Sasuke (Itachi remains 1st because oldest brother hero worship.)

6-years-old Kushito: Reading everything he gets his hands on and then he's asked to babysit Shikako. He babysits and teaches her though he doesn't reveal he knows about her and reincarnation. Kushito researches the Sharingan and the brain, accidentally unlocking the Mangekyo. Might or might not get involved with the Hyuuga incident (cuz fuck canon! Shikako is horrified). Seals are a thing.

When Itachi is inducted into Anbu, Kushito once again snaps. Spends more time outside the clan and trains his senses.

Kushito decides he has to become a shinobi to at least be able to protect himself from the oncoming bull shit, goes to the academy at around 7 years old, and graduates at 9-10, still early but not too prodigious. The massacre is around the corner, however the village and Uchiha are better connected.(If this is a DoS universe, Kushito tells Shikako to stay out of it when he realises what Shikako has been trying to convey. Reveals that he knows. Shikako is both relieved and more stressed but they figure it out.)

Warning Shisui has become priority, so instead of Itachi, Kushito tells Shisui that he knows of the Uchiha's plans. Shisui panics at first but then realises that Kushito is the one secretly helping them. Kushito warns Shisui referring to it as a dream.

Here the story can go either way. Depending on how seriously Danzo tries at killing Shisui and how useful Kushito's info is, Shisui either lives or dies anyway. Perhaps he decides not to commit suicide with Kushito running interference with people's impending break downs.

Itachi is getting very distant.

When the massacre occurs, Kushito is either outside the village and returns to it, or Danzou might try to kill him to set an example for Itachi and the Uchiha.

Or the attack happens BEFORE the massacre and Kushito's throat is cut (but eyes aren't stolen because he "hasn't awakened his sharingan yet" or because Danzo intended for him to be found and it'd be bad to raise suspicions of bloodline theft). Kushito hasn't learned any medical jutsu, let alone the mystic palm,but his main affinity is water and like all Uchiha he knows fire. So while trying to rework his Chakra's frequency to that of the surroundings, he sends some towards his fatal injury.

So he clumsily grabs all his arteries, bigger veins and major nerve endings using his chakra, aligns them as good as he can and sticks the two cut sides together with chakra (like tree walking) then procedes to fuse them together with hopes and prayers. The medics he's brought to are both horrified at the patch job and the the fact that it WORKED, with mostly just stiff muscles and horrific scarring left as evidence.

Kushito survives if barely (the ROOT agents who failed to kill him... not so much. Danzo doesn't tolerate failure).

Kushito is barely recovered when the massacre occurs, depending on if he’s in the compound or the hospital...

He probably has an appointment at the hispital (which Itachi is ever grateful for) when he feels the fitst death. He sprints out, shouting that something is wrong and to alert the Hokage, someone attacked the Uchiha compound.

He gets there with the massacre in full swing.

It's gruesome, it's very heartbreaking, these people, the people he grew up with... dead. Dying. He doesn’t think, he runs. Not towards Itachi but MADARA (Obito but at that moment he was Madara, only Madara, don’t think, don’t think-). Because Madara is going after the kids, the non-combatants.

He wants to save them. SAVE THEM.

And Kushito activates his Mangekyo. Jizo's Cloak. And promptly passes out from chakra exhaustion.

So he's in the village, and the day after the massacre, launches a full-on investigation. Kushito wakes up in the hospital to find that most of the clan is dead and many of the children are MISSING, presumed dead. They can't find most of their bodies. Just GONE.

Itachi is declared a traitor to the village, but Kushito needs to be quick, needs to be thorough.

He is adamant that every Sharingan has to be accounted for. He becomes clan head since he graduated and is a Genin therefore an adult.

But, they are wary of releasing him from the hospital since his chakra seems critically low and is constantly draining at a barely slower rate than his chakra is replenishing.

When he returns to the compound, he breaks down crying, before Sasuke can see, before he could grieve.

Then, a hand touches his face. Toshi, 4 year old Toshi, one of the missing kids. Kushito drags him into a hug before bawling even harder. Then there is another, and another. All 56 missing children and adolescents.

Apparently they don’t know what happened either. One minute they were with their parents or running trying to hide when suddenly, no one could see them, or touch them. They basically became ghost. Many of the children were traumatised from seeing their parents and family die and not being able to do anything about it.

Kushito doesn't want to trust the village again, but they'd be in more danger outside of the village. So Kushito calls in favours, a LOT of favours, he places children with members of the Old People's club who he trusts, because he's 10 and can't take care of everyone. Some of the older kids are fine to live on their own, but the young ones need caretakers. Siblings stay together, go to houses where there aren't bad memories.

He tries to save the police force and tries using knowledge from other self-inserts.

Unlike Uchiha Mari though, he doesn't have the confidence or power so he doesn't establish as many allies. However, the Ino-Shika-Cho stands by him.

Tea with Danzou. Shinobi politics. Adopting Kakashi into the clan because he's clan head, fuck you, he can do that now (who decided giving a 10 year old so much power was a good thing?). Yada yada yada.

!!! early konoha my beloved !!! I have so many thoughts ab it, I want to write a fic that's just silly early Konoha things viewed from the perspective of the less important clan members and their everyday lives. I'm aware the audience for that is incredibly small but I have too much fun just thinking ab it to really care!

Ichigo remains the only naruto oc Ive ever actually written for (in one step three steps), tho Haruka has been mentioned in multiple fics of mine now just bc she fills the role of Tobirama + Hashirama's blood aunt that I needed to be filled in my "Kakashi interacts with Tobirama w the knowledge that they are directly related" fics, of which there are now multiple

but yeah, take some silly art and lore comics !! I had fun while making these and will now probably put all these ocs on a shelf where I will not touch them for some more months

Fic where because ✨reasons✨, this giant tear in space time has appeared in Konoha; A gate connecting past, present and future, where early, modern and future Konoha might meet

Obviously, this is a giant security breach of proportions hither unknown to man.

The good news here is that time is definitely stable; these three times that are now connected are functionally different dimensions alltogether, so there's no fear of permanently fucking anything up for one of them via changes in the other.

The bad news is now the Konoha's lowkey want to dissect each other for whatever profit they might find there.

First we have early Konoha; Some years into being founded, Hashirama as their Hokage and Madara still in the village. They're eager to learn more of this future world and use any records on their (current) era to their benefit— to avoid battles they might lose, uncover betrayals still to come, gain technology they've yet to have, that sort of thing.

Then we have modern Konoha; where Sarutobi is Hokage, and team 7 is newly formed and still shiny new. Unsure on the exact time frame, but either right before or after Wave arc. This Konoha is hungry for their own future knowledge, but for the past resources as well; Especially over invested in the Senju brothers and what their power and knowledge might provide them

ROOT is still thriving in the shadows, Danzo is still looming over Sarutobi's shoulders, and war is on its way

Finally we have future Konoha; Lead by Rokudaime Kakashi, still some years away from retirement and steady in his belief that they shouldn't share SHIT with anyone, for fear of what it could do to their time (and their hard won peace)— as at that point they don't know how changing the past might affect them (and are unaware it'd be ok)

In the background, Naruto and Sasuke are ANBU, Sakura is head of the hospital, Orochimaru is entering his MILF era, Shikamaru is drowning in paperwork, and the shinobi world in general is flourishing in the height of an era of unprecedented peace

They mostly just wanna close up the giant space time security breach and call it a day; Some of them (especially Naruto) do feel bad and wants to give little hints to save individual lives, but there's a lot of hesitation when it comes to things that could potentially fuck up their narrow victory.

The whole idea of this is just like. The Konoha's trying to interact with each other and also trying to figure out what the FUCK the tear in space time is/why it's there/how to close it.

I wanna see. Culture clash and shocked reactions to the other Konoha's and diplomatic envoys from Konoha's between time.

On learning that the jinchuriki is a thing, most of early Konoha becomes convinced the tear in time is some natural consequence of sealing the biiju. Uzumaki experts are brought in to poke at it and the very few people that exist with experience on time fuckery (Tsuki lmao) are also standing around poking it with sticks at special request of Hashirama

Kid Naruto is catching a glimpse of the Uzumaki and frothing at the mouth to know more while Kakashi catches a glimpse of the Hatake and has pretty much the exact opposite reaction; Meanwhile future Kakashi is actually forced into a room with them because he obviously is involved with the big politics.

Both young and older Sasuke's are having fits about the fact they might be able to interact with the Uchiha. Both future Konoha's have motivation to keep the Uchiha massacre quiet, but future Konoha is much more ok with sharing it (knowing they can throw Sarutobi and Danzo under the bus + Sasuke is NOT tolerating even the mere SUGGESTION that they let it happen 'for the greater good') and modern Konoha is legit scared of it coming out, for pretty obvious reasons

Younger Sasuke is going to actually fucking murder someone in his attempts to warn his ancestors. Danzo's probably gonna have to put him under surveillance for that only to then go to the big meeting and see older Sasuke there glaring daggers at him. He's so cooked.

They ofc we get Hashirama Tobirama and Madara reactions to both future Konoha's— and neither Konoha reacts even remotely well to Madara being presented as part of the diplomatic parties, while he and his era is confused as to why

In general just. Messy time travel meets messy politics meets messy family drama. It's a mess across the board.

Ooooo, this is soo good!

Just the character interactions ans "What." moments would hilarious. So many things said out of context for which the past people have like ZERO context. And in an au where the timeline doesn’t change, it'd funny to see little eureka moments like "Oh, so that's what they meant by zombies."

Just any interaction between the delegations would be a ticking time bomb. I'd imagine the delegations being set up something like this:

Founders era: Hashirama, Tobirama, Madara, Mito, and some other Uzumaki, (though I think this delegation would possibly be the largest. You can't tell me all the other clan heads won't be chomping at the bits to be there. And trust is still relatively low between clans compared to the future.)

Modern (og Naruto) Konoha: Sarutobi, Danzou, possibly Homura and... forgot the other elder's name- OH! Jiraiya! He'd definitely be called back early to check out 'what the hell this is'. Shikaku as Jonin commander and strategist would also be a good call.

Modern modern konoha: Rokudaime Hokage Kakashi of course (kicking and screaming inside, damn, he doesn't wanna do this, but if he doesn't his cute little genin might cause a double governmental collapse [not to mention it would be Konoha's government], Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Tenzou (at this point it'd be mean to leave Sai out, let him stand there creepily smiling his death smile at Danzou while Sasuke tries to not instantly set Danou ablaze with his glare alone [this is very genuine concern], so Sai is there too... hmmm. Let Shikamaru see his father, ignite the angst.

Geniouses try to read each other while everyone gights in the background. Huge explosions, bijudama, amaterasu, CHAAA! *CRASH*, *Danzou dying sounds*: finally looka the chaos. "Troublesome."

Also, it'd be hilarious if kid!Naruto broke kid!Sasuke out to go to the meeting, while kid!Sakura goes along and frets (when they finally get there and Sakura sees her confident future self next to the Hokage she'll instantly have a new rolemodel).

They get there, the Modern modern Konoha delegation senses them (well, everyone does, but the og Naruto Konoha REALLY doesn't wanna acknowledge that) and Kakashi's like, "Maaa, look, my cute little genin! So small and adorable, what happened to make you grow up so fast?"

"Uhhhh, do you really want me to answer that?"

"Hn" *glare of imminent death*

"Zomies. It was definitely the zombies."

Cue "WTF?!!"

Everyone turns to Tobirama who's extremely annoyed.

Anyway, delegation time, but it stops before it even starts cuz, hostility~

Konoha founders can feel the distrust directed towards them from the earlier future, but THAT is outright killing intent from the later future. Tobi(rama) what did you do?

Sasuke can't decide whether he wants to kill Madara or Danzou. (Danzou, lets stick with Danzou, priorities.)

I loathe the fact that the sequel trilogy massacred Luke's new Jedi Order. Personally, I found it incredibly depressing. More importantly, I also found it very confusing in its execution, because it was unclear to me in the actual films who exactly had done it and why, which was very frustrating when the films kept trying to focus on and inspire sympathy for the massacre's main suspect, Kylo Ren.

But setting aside who was responsible for it, perhaps even more importantly, I also loathe it because it immediately makes this new fictional world so… small.

(Luke tried to kill his own nephew??? Sorry, not the point of this post, it's been years, but I still can't let it go. LUKE??? Luke "I still believe there's good in Darth Vader" Skywalker??? In my opinion, the ONLY reason that makes ANY sense for Luke is if someone else (who the fuck are the Knights of Ren) murdered everyone and Ben Solo was framed, but the movies do NOT explain SHIT, and Kylo Ren then goes on to help kill his entire family, many innocent people, and multiple planets anyway, so, you know, fuck him maybe!)

(Also, after S2 of "The Mandalorian", one of my watching buddies turned to me and said, "Is the unfortunate implication here that Kylo Ren and the First Order killed Grogu?" And we agreed that hopefully it had been Din Djarin's weekend with the kid that day. A massacre is just a terrible setup for building anything both before the sequel trilogy and after.)

Getting rid of the new Jedi Order the way that TFA did it is so... overdramatic and unnecessary? Immediately creating a huge hurdle for your new trilogy. Immediately digging yourself into a writing pit. I keep thinking, "Why even write it that way?" Tension, maybe. It raises the stakes if there are no other Jedi to save the day and the Jedi Order is on the edge of extinction again. Trying to make Kylo Ren seem extra scary and powerful as a villain by implying that he's (maybe?) personally killed most of the Jedi Order. Trying to make Rey also seem extra special and important as a protagonist maybe by having no options or points of comparison.

But I don't think the pros outweigh the cons. The writing choice reduces all of these non-Skywalker (or non-Palpatine, as it turns out) Jedi characters to just... set dressing, basically. Mostly unseen decoration instead of a way to enrich the world.

Luke started training at 19, so some of his Jedi students may have actually started as adults. Depending on species, some of them easily could have been even older than him! And over 10+ years, any teenage and adolescent students, anyone Ben Solo's age or older, would have grown up. No one but Luke gets to be good enough to survive?

Yes, the new Jedi Order was possibly very, very small, because we don't know how many apprentices Luke was taking on at a time or if he found anyone to help him teach. Yes, these Jedi were probably ambushed and probably betrayed here, so their skill and age in comparison to Kylo Ren or any other perpetrators might have been completely irrelevant. Yes, the overall point is that it's unfair. It's a tragic event.

Nevertheless... no survivors? None???

Were they ALL children and teachers? No one was an adult Jedi Knight out in the galaxy on a mission? Visiting family or friends? Working with the New Republic? It's maybe unfair to compare this massacre to Order 66, since there were both far, far more Jedi and they were all far better trained, but there were still survivors there! But was whoever did this as well-trained and coordinated as the clone troopers? We don't know who did it. They could have missed someone.

Also, none of the Order 66 survivors or any of their own students interacted with Luke's new Jedi Order or the New Republic apparently? Luke didn't try to reach out to any other non-Jedi groups of Force users at all? That could have been fun.

It annoys me that there was no apparent actual thought put into Luke's Jedi Order, how it might work, and who might potentially be a part it. (LEIA.) No, it's all reduced to Luke and his new murderous family member, pretty much.

None of these other people, who came to rebuild the Jedi Order, get to do anything or matter in the sequels in any meaningful way. Even as dead props, none of these people really get to matter personally to Luke or Kylo Ren. Do any of these massacred people even get named in these films? To my memory, Luke and Kylo Ren never talk about anyone specific, not even naming a single friend whom Kylo Ren might have betrayed and killed.

It all feels very cheap to me. Underutilized. If you just needed some murders to make Kylo Ren and Snoke villainous, it really didn't have to be EVERYONE.

Honestly, if you played it right, it could have just been one murder, if you really needed that kind of betrayal setup. Destroy their new Jedi Temple, scatter the new Jedi Order across the galaxy, being hunted by the First Order and resisting, and have it that Kylo Ren (or unknown other) killed his fraternal twin brother or something. If the backstory is given emotional richness, you don't have to go (forgive the pun) overkill.

This complete massacre cuts off an entire potential lane of interesting, emotionally connected background characters who might influence events in chaotic ways. Kylo Ren doesn't get to have any extremely angry, injured peers or teachers out for revenge? No siblings? No cousins? He (maybe?) doesn't even have any friends who turned on Luke with him. (Who the FUCK are the Knights of Ren?) Luke isn't given any other Jedi helping him hide and recover from injury, which might have been an uplifting thread in the second movie, a revelation that neither Luke or Rey are THE last Jedi. Leia apparently tried being a Jedi and then quit, so SHE doesn't get any students, current or former.

Rey gets no Jedi allies. No other teachers. No peers. No rivals. No orphaned padawans she has to protect. You could have given Kylo Ren a baby sister or brother or cousin and have them be in hiding with Luke, putting Rey into a big sister role. All of these potential relationships between Jedi, setups that could have been new to this trilogy, get cut off before the plot of TFA starts.

Like, "The Last Jedi" could have reversed the complete massacre. "The Force Awakens" immediately utterly wasted the new Jedi Order (and the entire New Republic apparently) to make Kylo Ren and the First Order look more dangerous, but TLJ could have still created a few Jedi survivors to widen the fictional world and spice things up.

(TLJ skips the time skip! Also not the point of this post, but all other prior SW trilogy movies have significant time skips between them. But TFA ends with Rey meeting Luke, so TLJ apparently HAS to pick up the story immediately, rather than letting the characters and world develop offscreen to set up a fresh situation. Seriously, I enjoyed TFA the most out of this trilogy, but the first movie did create a real worldbuilding and plotting clusterfuck here.)

This is supposed to be a galaxy! Big! Diverse! Busy! A new Jedi Order (and the New Republic) could have easily been used to show off that wealth of species and worlds off. The sequels didn't use it. It threw it away for very little gain.

Of course, no character NEEDS to be a Jedi to be important and interesting and infuential. For most of the original trilogy, Luke was more or less just another rebel, one among many. (Biggs Darklighter! Han Solo! Chewbacca! Lando Calrissian! R2-D2 and C-3PO!) Even in the third movie, as the last Jedi, Luke's main role in the group mission against the second Death Star was a suicidal solo mission to distract and maybe assassinate the Emperor. Everyone else saved the day while Luke basically played bait for his evil wizard father and the evil wizard emperor.

But then the sequel trilogy also badly fumbles all of its non-Jedi supporting characters anyway, so what the fuck.

It's annoying to me that the situation of the Jedi Order in the previous trilogy is repeated so completely. The protagonist being a lone Jedi student whose mentors all die off was DONE already, it makes the new trilogy feel incredibly unoriginal to have just one Jedi apprentice and a resistance as your setup all over again! TFA immediately limited itself with that and then TLJ doubled down!

And "Rise of Skywalker"... did not stick the landing. It was probably never going to be a great landing by that point, but ROS sure did break both of its legs on impact instead.

And the "lone Jedi" setup made more sense to me when Palpatine had as much power as he did to orchestrate their destruction and then hunt down most of the scattered survivors over 20 years. So, the "lone Jedi" repeat with Rey also feels contrived.

And then even after the massacre of Luke's students, the loss of all of that storytelling potential, the sequel trilogy doesn't try to recover and seek some uniqueness. Finn doesn't get to be a Jedi despite being the main character of TFA. Rose doesnt get to be a Jedi despite everything SW has taken from Asian cultures. Rey doesn't even get to be a Jedi without also being Palpatine's granddaughter! It ultimately puts an importance on bloodlines that leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

In conclusion, yes! I understand the reasons WHY the sequel trilogy massacred the new Jedi Order. I understand character death as an important element in stories. But what the massacre did for the story could have been achieved in other ways! There were other ways to make Kylo Ren scary and villainous. There were other ways to separate Luke from the Resistance. There are situations you could create that would easily isolate the young protagonists and require them to save the day without older Jedi assistance.

Getting rid of the new Jedi Order so completely and so cheaply is, in my opinion, like shooting yourself in the foot. It destroyed so many writing avenues, so many potential characters, major or supporting or ensemble, so many potential challenges for our protagonists and antagonists, and it didn't even get to matter in an interesting way.

If you'd massacred the new Jedi Order on-screen over the course of the trilogy, even if it had been done very well, I still almost certainly wouldn't have liked it and I'd probably be angrily accusing it of copying the prequels instead, but at least I'd have names and faces to write fun canon divergence fanfiction with. The prequel trilogy is an intentional tragedy that had to set up the original trilogy! It did Order 66 with purpose! The prequel trilogy ALSO ultimately wasn't good, but the sequel trilogy had no such constraints.

Go, sequel trilogy films, destroy the new Jedi Order off-screen in your first movie and give us nothing for it.

I'm not sure if anyone else has already made this point but it just hit me so I'm gonna talk about it anyway.

Wouldn't it have made more sense for Rey to have been the daughter of the Force instead of a Palpatine?

Hear me out. The Chosen one is supposed to bring balance to the Force, suggesting a time of imbalance and conflict brewing, such as with Anakin and the rise of the Sith. Similarly with Rey, the Sith (Palpatine) are returning. So the Force creates a Chosen one to bring said balance.

Also, I think it would fit much better into Rey's backstory and character arc. Rey Nobody being Rey Palpatine or even Rey Skywalker makes her Somebody, she's trying to family, a legacy, a connection. But what if the end of her arc was instead that she already had that connection, that connection to the Force, a connection to every living being, she doesn't need a Name and a legacy to be special. She doesn't need to be Rey Somebody because Rey Nobody was already who she was and that's enough.

It would reinforce the idea that anyone could be the Chosen One, a slave boy from Tatooine, a junk finder on Jakku, anyone. Which would be great from a story message kind of view, because what if the Chosen One was you?

Furthermore, it would fit well with Rey's backstory. She IS Rey Nobody because her father was nobody. She's nobody's daughter, because she's the daughter of the Force. And we could also make Kylo Ren partially correct, her mother very well could've abandoned her due to not having the resources or the want for a child, maybe even fear due to the virgin birth.

Finally, it would also give an explaination for how Rey could use the Force so easily. How she could pilot so well without ever flying before, how she connected with ANAKIN'S lightsaber. It called out to her. A kyber crystal resonates with a Jedi soul, she resonated with Anakin's. She's basically like Anakin but with Luke's story of the Empire (New Order). Plus a bunch of parallels such as being a really good mechanic, who makes friends with droids, just saying.

(And if I think it could still fit in the story? Cuz I don’t believe Palpatine could've reproduced to have a child, let alone a grandchild. I think Palpatine could've easily lied to Rey, try to manipulate her greatest weakness, her need for a family and pretend that that family and legacy she was seeking was him.

He used his connection (that trust and being a father figure Anakin needed) to and Anakin's greatest weakness to turn the Chosen One to his side, why not try again? And this time Rey doesn't have a wife/husband or even mentor to help her, Leia, Han and Luke are dead, Finn and Poe are her friends (and arguably her family) but she still craves that familial connection through blood. Arguably Chewie and Finn are her greatest tether to the light at that point.

Anyway, Palpatine would would definitely exploit that weakness to try and get the Chosen One on his side.

So, backstory wise, Palpatine felt the birth of the Chosen One then hunted down her parents who didn't understand fully what was going on but they knew someone was after their daughter, so they left her on Jakku.)

Anyway, that's my take. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk about how Rey is actually the daughter of the Force and not Palpashit's grandaughter.

Honestly I'd love to see this. Just like, any Merlin and Star Wars crossover. Like, would the knights be Mandalorians or Jedi? What if this is like really far in the future and both actually had the same roots? Supercool parallels. Also, any Jedi spotting Merlin’s eyes, "Sith!"
