Nunavuting

Tavo moved to Nunavut in early 2012 to work for the government. Two years later, he upgraded to Yellowknife. Although not technically in Nunavut anymore, this still documents his adventures in the Canadian Arctic (and now subarctic).

Cycling through Yellowknife's historical Giant Mine. The mine opened in 1948 and closed in 2004 after having accumulated over 237 thousand tonnes of arsenic dust produced in the refining of gold ore. Remediation is now the responsibility of the Government of Canada and the Government of the Northwest Territories. (at Giant Mine)
