it’s been a minute since I’ve been here, but I figured I’d check in and see how everyone’s doing ?

hello lovelies, this blog has been a little neglected because I’m dealing with some stuff in real life, but I'm hoping to get back on track soon !!

In the meantime, let me give a big shout out to PRIDEMUSINGS which is a blog dedicated for lgbtq+ muse inspo !! While I’ll still be here at nxttwrites, I’ll also be helping out with this new blog with six other admins, so make sure to give us a follow and give the other admins some love too 💕

I want to make this blog safe for anyone in the rpc !! I used to have a character that was a police officer, but I have since changed her background and have deleted any inspo tied into that. Going forward, I will make sure to avoid anything similar and will be extra vigilant to tag everything !! But I am human, so if any of my old posts have slipped through the cracks, please do not hesitate to let me know so I can fix it !!

I have not stated my stance on the Black Lives Matter protests here because I figured I was speaking up enough on my main blog/my other social media platforms and, although no one has called me out on this, I have realized that this is the biggest platform I have across all social media and in keeping quiet, that would just further be playing in to my privilege.

THIS is a google doc for white and non-black poc to learn more about this movement and how they can help, without relying on black people to tell us what to do. We are here to support them and elevate their voices, they are not here to explain everything to us. This goes FAR beyond George Floyd and recent events, this is an underlying issue that we as white people need to open our eyes to and become just as active as our black brothers, sisters, and non-binary friends.

If you still don’t know how you can help, HERE is a list of 75 things we as white people can do to help. This is not a time that you can be silent and skate by on your own privilege! I understand that you may want to just let the people who know what to say talk, but you cannot go silent–your silence is detrimental at this moment. You do not need to scream to the point that you are talking over black people, but you do need to speak up in support.

And the easiest way to elevate black voices, especially if you do not have the means to donate, is to watch THIS youtube video! Make sure that you have all ad blockers turned off and that you don’t skip the ads, because 100% of the revenue from the ads will be donated to the Black Lives Matter movement, bail funds, and funeral funds–all of which is listed at the beginning of the video.

It is easier than ever to help out and donate and to break your silence, so I urge every single one of my followers to find a way they can help!
