Maybe I’m a fool, but I don’t understand why people keep saying goodbye to Rurouni Kenshin.

YES, Watsuki’s actions are sick, disgusting and dissapointing af, and I totally don’t approve it. BUT.. This doesn’t mean that we should write off our favorite manga.

Rurouni Kenshin is a timeless story. This is a classic tale. The characters are well-developed and complex, with large histories and layers. This manga really causes the reader to consider some moral issues. And Kenshin still has high level of morality. Always will be. Who knows, maybe Watsuki created such a great and healthy character because he knew that he will never be the one…

Rurouni Kenshin is a genius’s work. And I guess, this is the problem with the geniuses - they’re all crazy pervs. Mozart, Gandi, Einstein, Benjamin Franklin… They’re all sick people. But still it does not depreciate their works.

And yes, maybe Watsuki is not a good person. But he is a great author. So I’ll never say goodbye to Rurouni Kenshin.
