People have started to equate explanation with excuse when they are NOT the same. You aren't excusing your actions if you explain them. "Hi I'm sorry I was so snappy earlier, I didn't get enough sleep last night but that's not on you and I'm going to be a little more careful with my tone" is very different from "You can't be mad at me because there was a good reason I was rude"

Marcille is 50, 10 in tall-man years, however she doesn't act like a tall-man ten year old. The age of maturity in elves is 80, which she isn't either, but she still acts on par with other mature characters in the series.

It's impossible to make age conversion for half-elves because mixed short and long-lived end up with a inconstant growth rate. So two people with the same age can be in completely different growth stages

So she's younger than Laios and Falin at this point but still an adult.

I think she was an older teen when she was in school with Falin tho, it matches the strange growth rate and how she looked/acted.

I still think it's fascinating tho, for both her and Thistle. Meeting a friend as a kid and watching them grow past you (both in size and in age/maturity)

For Thistle is even more extreme, he met Delgal as a baby, cared for him, watched him grow get married and have a baby of his own while barely growing himself, it's so strange to think about.

For a couple of episodes now i've had this theory that Marcille is actually a half elf (other half tall-man)

After seeing more of other elves in the end credits and the mad mage himself i noticed Marcille's ears were less pointy and rounder, and seeing how carefully crafted the Dunmeshi universe is, it was not just going to be a desing choice

In Marcille's nigthmare there were portrairs of her parents and sure enough, her dad was a tall-man:

Also you can see the difference in the ears of Marcille's mom and in her own, how rounder and less pointy they are despite mother and daughter having a strong resemblance in everything else

Elves pretty much seem to keep to themselves, so its going to be interesting to see more of her childhood and backstory in the future...
