It's been a long time since I've talked directly to another queer kid in my school, but I recently made friends with a freshman who's queer. It feels good to talk about things all my other friends wouldn't care about and be understood again.
But I still can't shake the scared feeling I get when I do talk about queer stuff with another real person. Been shamed too many times by ex-friends so i choke up :[.
Haven't posted in a bit💔 since school started again it's made it a bit hard to really be myself. Taking a vacation in the mountains now and I feel fucking great now so...
I hate when ppl say "you can't pass without testosterone and cutting your hair!".... Yes you can bitch.
Some (probably many ngl) AFAB people already have natural masculine characteristics. For example, My body hair. Haven't touched a drop of testosterone, but my leg hair is genuinely over 2 inches long AND I have smaller hairs all over my arms, stomach, and chest. I also have a boxy, non curvy figure. And I know many AFABs who have naturally large arms or big shoulders. That probably applies to many AFABs too, but I think the beauty standards on AFABs are drilled into peoples minds so much that people forget that an AFAB can have body hair or a strong build so they think AFABs need T to achieve those things.
ALSO, I hate this cutting hair shit. "You have to cut ur hair that's what men do." It's such a white standard. Did you forget about native americam trans men? Sikh trans men? Māori trans men? Lrl any trans men in a culture where it's normal for men to NOT cut their hair.
Honestly if you have to see a trans man to appeal to white standards for you to be able see them as a man, fuck you.

Also, if you live in a plave with a lot of smog or where it's normal to where a mask, then where a mask. Put on some sunglasses too ppl will think ur a famous person

I have a feeling straight, cis women who salivated over heated rivalry are going to take credit for hockey being accepting of gay ppl now and going to talk down to gay people if they say other wise...
Anyways I love the queer athletes who fought to help the world be more inclusive or any queer athlete who had to hide themselves to continue to play a sport or any queer athlete who had to quit due to fear because they finally get to be recognized and told they are loved. If only it happened sooner.
It's fascinating to me how the notion of 'hypermasculinity = morally good' is prevalent in leftist spaces because if it's an attack of men then it's ok, regardless if that attack is based in someone's ability to conform to cis perisex ideas of masculinity. Also to get into how transmisogynistic it is to assume that everyone with a dick is a dude (which is why I assume these attacks are seen as ok, as jokes at people with penises and by extension who these people view as 'men' are free game)
