I really wish people would stop acting like the only categories transmasc people can pass in are either “indistinguishable from an average cis woman” or “indistinguishable from an average cis man”. Some of us are seen as a secret third thing (scary ambiguous t-slur gender freak who is Failing At Gender by “not looking enough like a man OR a woman”) and treated accordingly

Transmasc passing tip: Say "real shit" more

My passing advice/tips, now that I've been out as trans for nearly 4 years:

Signal that you plan on passing.

Look over your shoulder to check your blind spots.

Never drive off the paved or main-traveled part of the road to pass.

Never pass on the left if the driver ahead is signaling a left turn.

When turning left, do not assume that an oncoming vehicle with its right turn signal on is turning before it reaches you.

Hope these tips could be helpful! I've learned a lot in the past few years and wanted to share :)

Go one size higher than you technically fit.

If you need to alter the height, hem before you cut, no matter how long! It's a lot easier to cut too much off than you think. This WILL take some practice though! (I'm learning the hard way)

I know it's hard right now. It's scary. The world feels like it's closing around you and trying to push you out. We all feel it. And we've been in your shoes. I want you to know that your community is here for you. We will help you anyway we can. We need you here more than you could possibly know. You are our future. Whatever you need to do, just stay alive. Not just physically. Keep your truth alive however you can. Even if it can only exist in a diary under your mattress, that version of you is needed and valuable in the world.

We will get through this. Just stay present, stay here, and stay hopeful.

I can't wait to live in a world where passing doesn't matter because the social pressures and hatred for trans people is just dissolved, so people just modify themselves to look happy rather than to meet a goal.

It may not be a world I will leave to see, but it is one I will work for. For myself and all my trans siblings, as well as all who come after me.

Everyone deserves to be happy in their body. Everyone.

Your body is a temple, one devoted to you. Modify it, change it, sculpt it into exactly what you want. It's yours, and nobody else should have a say in it.

For all the achillean trans guys who think their sexuality makes them seem like girls, being gay is the perfect socially acceptable reason for being feminine as a man. When a guy does something feminine, his friends don't call him a woman, they call him gay. And while I don't approve of that, when it comes to passing it really helps to be able to say "oh im gay, thats why" when someone asks why something about you is feminine. Why is your voice so high? Classic gay voice. Why do you have no body hair? I'm a gay twink. No cis man questions beyond that.

Dear fellow transgender people

It people complain you aren’t presenting “properly”, and try and pressure you into psssing? Fuck that! Gender norms are meant to be broken!

YPU don’t NEED to pass to be your gender, And if anybody genuinely tells you this then they can swallow a boulder. You should prioritise feeling happy over terrible excuses of “feedback” these people give.

And this includes all trans people (Nonbinary people, trans women and Trans men, people who use xenogenders, ect ect. Your all valid :D)
