if there is one thing that will always unmistakably be true about steve harrington's character it is his love for nancy wheeler. true real love. do you all know how much humility it takes to look your former lover in the eyes and thank them for breaking your heart and leaving you in the cold for another man because deep down you know that is exactly what was needed for you to man-up yourself? there is not an ounce of arrogance or pride in a man who is able to admit that, he is owning his mistakes and he credits all his attempts at getting better all to her.

it's an act of true, unconditional love.

the fact that so many people try to ignore this or call it something completely out of his character is hilarious to say the least, when that scene is the very core of his character. if you are looking at what made him into a character you love and cherish today and averting your eyes, then maybe you didn't truly love him to begin with.
