Hi, War Thunder player here, this did happen during the 2024 April Fools event, which added UFOs to Rank VII air battles, a bracket where Fox-3 radar-guided missiles dominate, and where the UFOs had absurd jamming capabilities.

An employee at the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), which has disarmed AN/MPQ-53 radars for simulating SAMs during test flights, uploaded footage to the forums where, during a night flight, one of the batteries locked onto a phantom radiation signal with no known identification. The unidentified craft is just a grainy spec on the launcher's tracking camera, but the range of the lock was used to argue for nerfing UFO jamming during the event.
