taz: amnesty headcanons! Aubrey, Ned, and Duck in order, tho theyre not hard to guess lol (full credit to @rabdoidal for HEAVILY influencing my ned headcanon, I mean theyre practically the exact same WOOPS)
[image description: three drawings, one of Aubrey, Ned and Duck, from the shoulders up against a white background. Aubrey is a thin dark-complexioned woman with short textured red hair that’s shaved on the sides and back. She has killer winged eyeliner and a septum piercing and is smiling very slightly. Ned is a light-skinned man with a thick brown beard and chin-length hair tucked behind his ears. He’s smiling happily. Duck is thin with brown skin, freckles, short dark hair and a short beard. He’s wearing a park ranger’s uniform and glancing out of the corner of his eye, frowning slightly.]
One of the big things I think these 'it should be acceptable to leave concrit on fanfic even if the author isn't looking for it' people are missing is that giving constructive feedback is also a skill and they usually don't have it
another ridiculous element to the quiverfull-esque “we must outbreed everybody and fill the polls with our white Christian children” ideology is that ex-Evangelicals are some of the wildest, most anti-Christian progressives I have ever met. no one hates patriarchal Christian theocracy more than the children of a preacher who managed to get the hell away from that man. political and religious beliefs are not genetic and if you torment and abuse your kid their entire childhood, there is a significant chance they will scrutinize and discard every part of your thinking.
"this thing is rare and only affects 1% of the population" dude that's 80 million people can you shut up
"this thing is so rare, if you put everyone it affects on an island it would be the 20th most populated country in the world, more than the UK, more than South Korea, and more than Canada AND Australia AND Tunisia all put together. we can literally forget about it that's not many people"
#is this about autism?
it's about autism and EDS and intersex variations and about trans people and also it's about golden blood and it's about blind people, it's about screaming all day long and howling the night out that you exist even if you're not everywhere, you're small but your heart beats and your lungs pump air and they want you forgotten in the pages of a book they won't read
So THATS why she always fights with her lower body more 😭😭
She can be so funny without trying I love her sm
skills for reclaiming your own life that you can practice:
- saying no
- saying no when asked to do something you could you could technically do but at a great cost to yourself
- wanting things
- allowing yourself to want things
- doing something that you want because you want it
- getting something that you want because you want it
- asking for the things you want
- eating a food you enjoy
- changing something in your space that will make you happy (get a furniture you like, or a decoration, or put up a cool piece of art, or move something you use often to a more accessible spot)
- changing something about your body that will make you happy (like getting a haircut, hair dye, tattoo, piercing, hrt, nail polish - do not try to force your body into a vastly different shape than what it is. do something within reach)
- wearing something that will make you feel cool, or cute, or pretty, or badass, or comfy. something that will make you happier
- admitting a situation is miserable and that you want it to be different
- wanting to change a situation to be less miserable
- not punishing yourself for wanting to be less miserable
- finding what can possibly be done to make a situation less miserable
- changing something about a situation that makes you miserable
- asking for help
- accepting help
- accepting kind words and compliments
- starting small
- accepting failure and imperfection
- starting again
- you can also! change something that annoys you a little bit. you do not have to wait for it to become fully miserable. if you can change something into being less annoying for you: do it
i like people who keep their trash in their pocket until they find a trash can to throw it away
everything i say is a desperate attempt to not be misunderstood 🤞

"The comic relief character was a cold-blooded villain all along" is a plot twist that is either brilliant or stupidest hackshit ever depending on how it's handled.
"hahah this ugly little freak was evil all along" for shock value? Boring.
"this entire time you have known me, you have been nothing but sadistic towards me. Are you telling me that this whole time, you've had no idea how badly I have wanted to kill you?" holy shit cinema.
"impulse buy" (noun) anything I have been low-key thinking about purchasing for 3 months, an item that subsequently spent 24-48 hours in my cart as I went through each and every state of grief, and which I then bought, in a desperate, the-guilt-can't-get-me-if-I'm-fast-enough rush.
One of my marie kondo tidbits is that one time she really did throw out everything that didnt spark joy including her screwdrivers and thought she could get away with tightening a screw with one of her favourite rulers but instead ended up snapping it in half
So when she tells people to consider how an item helps you not fuck up your shit and thats how you find joy, just know its from experience

watching dreamily recorded footage of a web forum from 2003
Felt inspired
Persephone's look of absolute horror when she returns to Hadestown and sees just how much worse it's gotten
Eurydice's amazement and terror when she sees the endless, monstrous wall
Hades' simmering fear finally boiling over after Orpheus cracks his armor and the Fates taunt him
Orpheus' ever-growing doubt as he walks out of Hadestown
Hermes' affection for the lovers, especially when he greets Eurydice at the start
The workers' reverence and fanaticism during "Why We Build the Wall", and later their regret and growing resolve and hope during "If It's True" and "Chant (Reprise)"
God bless the proshot's cinematographers for letting me see all the actors' expressions so closely
