and I declare you husband and husband
Btw another key 'LaVonte is not like other vampires' moment for me is how he spent most of the combat scene getting humans out of the way to safety. Like, yes, yes, sure, prevent Masquerade breaches, but he could totally just use his charisma later about it (THIS IS A BANKSY). He doesn't *have to* get everyone out of the Bud and Branch when the bullets start flying.
But he does. His heart already knows what matters to him, and it isn't Austin.
And it's fucking amazing

EMILY YOU CAN’T DO THIS!
another emily axford all-timer from ccod finale
im so in live with her
This has to be the most beautiful thing one can say about a person
i was so correct to save watching the finale for bedtime because what the actual hell was any of that i feel insane. 10000/10 no notes
"sometimes the people we wanna kill are the ones we love"
"but the second i saw him... whatever was going on didn't matter anymore. everything was replaced with a single thought"
"i was still breathing, and you just walk out on me? to go beat on HIM?"
do you have something to tell us zanka
guy currently hurtling toward a migraine at a rate that would impress most astrophysicists: i wonder wgat is happening in my beautiful telephone
don't mind me, just thinking about how Nancy Danderhoof must have felt the first time she saw Bat Child's face and saw not a Nosferatu vampire but a ghost, the ghost of a girl she mourned, the ghost of a girl whose death she honored in the one way she knew how to, by writing, by digging, by never giving up on finding the truth because "nobody just disappears-"
I feel like Zanka would refuse to break up with Jabber out of spite. Who cares if that asshole is extremely avoidant and actively making his life worse? There's something between them, and Zanka won't let it stop once it's already begun. He won't let Jabber get away. And Jabber can't help but admire it and fall a little more in love with Zanka every time Zanka pushes his boundaries. How could he not? Zanka loves and hates Jabber so much that he would chase him to the ends of the earth just to break him down into pieces. Jabber loves that Zanka is obsessed with him, and he loves knowing that Zanka likes beating him just as much as he likes getting beaten. He loves knowing that Zanka is willing to break himself mentally and go beyond the reasonable bounds of a relationship for Jabber. And he really, truly hates that Zanka wants to make him vulnerable. It terrifies him more than anything and he despises it, but he loves Zanka for it anyway. He loves that Zanka wants to destroy him no matter how Jabber feels about it. And Zanka loves the power he holds over Jabber, and hates the sadistic glee he gets from making Jabber uncomfortable. So naturally, he just has to make Jabber feel worse as payback. By now, both of them are in too deep to leave even when deep down, that's all that they want to do. But they never will, because whatever it is they feel for each other goes deeper than their own happiness.
Hear me out : Perry is a very serious man but with childish looking imagination
You know that whatever character did those problematic things isn't like. Real, right?
You are aware that a fictional character is just a rhetorical construct designed to fulfill a narrative/thematic purpose right? That their actions are written by an author who wants to use them to explore complex ideas and moral gray areas within the safe confines of fiction right? That they aren't a real person who has killed real people right?
