Dean Winchester x reader (hurt/comfort)
@sweetcreaturesthings I hope you like it.
How the hell do I get into these situations? I should've known better than to go after this thing alone. I shouldn't have let Dean's words get to me, but damnit, it certainly hurt that he thought I couldn't do this. Guess he was right though. I hear footsteps from above me, I guess this thing has me in some kind of cellar. “Well well, what do we have here? A bold little hunter?” I roll my eyes. “I know what you are!” I shout, though I'm not sure why. “Then you know what happens next sweetheart.” It makes its way closer to me and grabs my chin to look at me. It has the face of one of the people me and the boys questioned recently. I wonder if that's how it knew we were onto it. “Can't say I'm complaining, you're a pretty thing. Of course, I'm not gonna be nearly as black and blue.” It smiles tauntingly at me. Of course it had to kick my ass before it takes my shape, as if this isn't already humiliating. I smirk at my soon to be doppelganger. “They'll know it's not me. I doubt you've studied me long enough to fool them too long.” The shifter laughs, as it pulls out a knife. “Don't flatter yourself darling, I know your little boy toy will be too happy to see you to care about anything else.” My face falls. “Leave him out of this!” It smiles, knowing it hit a nerve. “Your boyfriend and his brother have killed many of my kind before, so now it's my turn to end them. But first I'm gonna play with them a bit. Maybe you're right, maybe I won't fool them for long. But I bet I'll fool them long enough…” It stabs me in my leg, I try to hold in any noise of pain. I refuse to allow it that satisfaction. “That you won't be alive when they find your body.” It slices and stabs at me a few more times. I watch it walk up the stairs it came down earlier as it takes my shape. I hope they figure it out quickly, for my sake.
“Dude you're gonna set the floor on fire if you keep pacing.” I look over at Sam who looks at me confused yet concerned. “She won't answer her phone. Excuse me if I'm worried about my girlfriend.” I bite back annoyed. Sam wipes his hand over his face tiredly. “She's probably still pissed at you for what you said. I mean, c'mon Dean you basically told her she can't handle anything on her own.” I let out a sigh. “I know… And she has every right to be. I didn't even mean to say it. I know she's capable, I just don't want her getting hurt.” I hear a knock on the door of the room, I rush over to open it. “Hey babe.” I let out a breath of relief and pull her into a hug, she squeezes back tightly. Something is wrong. I hold her in front of me by her shoulders. “Are you ok?” “I'm fine love, I just needed to cool off.” I look at y/n, she doesn't look like she's hurt but I can tell something is off. She comes in and sits on my bed. “Why didn't you answer your phone?” She looks up at me. “Battery died, I'm sorry if I worried you.” I look at Sam, he's already staring and y/n. He knows it too. “Who are you?” Sam shouts. Y/n looks at him confused. “Sam, it's me. Is something wrong?” “Yeah, you're not Y/n. That's what's wrong.” I say as I pull out my gun. “Where is she?” Fake Y/n plays scared. “Baby it's me! What are you doing?” “The Y/n we know wouldn't be so quick to forgive after what happened, so where is she?!” Faker drops the act. “Maybe I underestimated her. She was right, I didn't seem to fool you both for very long.” Sam puts his gun to faker's back. “He asked you where she is?” Faker laughs. “You're not gonna get there in time. She's probably gone already, wishing she could have seen you one last time.” I feel nauseous at the thought. Sam looks at me. “Dean, don't listen to it. We're gonna get her back.” “Oh Sammy, don't give your brother false hopes. That's not very nice. Lucky for you I want you to find her. She's in the last victim's house.” I look at it suspiciously. It's the best lead I've got right now, I don't want to trust this thing but I don't have much choice. “Sam, tie up the Faker. We're getting my girl back.”
I'm starting to see spots. Maybe the shifter was right. Maybe I'll die down here alone. I hear heavy footsteps again. “Y/N!” Sam? No, it's probably the shape shifter again. “You said she was here, where is?” That's Dean's voice. I try to focus enough to say something but my head is spinning. “CELLAR! I'M IN THE CELLAR!” I hear them make their way downstairs. Sam's dragging fake me behind him. Dean runs up to untie me. “Took you long enough.” I say breathless. Dean chuckles but I can tell he's trying not to cry. He gets me free before he pulls me into his chest. I look up at Sam but I notice the shifter changing shape again to get out of the ropes and attack him. “NO!” I muster up enough strength to push Sam away before I lose consciousness. The last thing I hear is a gun go off.
I sit next to an unconscious Y/n, gripping her hand like it's all that's keeping me alive. She didn't lose too much blood so she didn't need a hospital thank goodness. But she got knocked around quite a bit. We were lucky that the hunt was close to Bobby's house. I feel my hand being squeezed. Y/N's eyes start to open. “Hey you.” She whispers, smiling tiredly. I chuckle at her. “Hey sweetheart.” I stare at her silently. I can't believe I almost lost her, I can't believe I almost didn't get a chance to… “I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said you weren't able to take care of yourself on a hunt.” She closes her eyes and lets out a breath. “Well you couldn't have been completely wrong. That thing kicked my ass and then went to find you and Sam.” I shake my head. “You lost that fight because you were thinking about what I said. I know you went after it to try and prove yourself to me. I got in your head and it almost got you killed.” She opens her eyes again and looks at me. “How'd you know it wasn't me?” “You think so little of your boyfriend to think I would think that thing was you?” I tease, though I'm trying so hard not to sob. “I don't know, it seemed pretty confident that it would have you guys fooled for a while.” she smirks. I use the hand that isn't holding hers to cup her face. “Because the faker forgave me too quickly. The Y/n I know and love is stubborn and would have stood her ground that she can hold her own in a fight. And she's right because she's in front of me after almost dying while trying to save her best friend even though she was the one who just got rescued.” Y/n smiles at me. “And don't you forget that Winchester.” I laugh, that's my girl. I pull her in and kiss her. “I'm never leaving you alone again though, I hope you know that.”
