So, yknow how in 2.5 Trio lowkey died on a 1st day (fell from high place right after logging on) (obv got revived tho) (L nonetheless) (saying this like you don't need to watch vods and actually somewhat pay attention to game chat to learn that)
And, because my mind is big and im also desperate for any scrap of info to make 2.5!Trio into a somewhat well-rounded character - i decided to "immortalise" this fun fact into a little headcanon (i love making shit up♥️)
Headcanon itself:
Trio's left leg is basically permanently damaged because years ago when he was a kid he fell of an Yggdrasil tree (long story short: it was a bet) and broke some bones and his left leg just. never healed properly.
On most days it causes mild discomfort of various degree, which while makes it not really necessary to use stuff like canes all the time it would definitely make life easier.
He didn't use cane back then like, at all tho. Mix of reasons, the big ones are probably "The Covenant feel like a perfect place to foster "toughing it out" mentality" and "switching between a cane and a sword when a mob is about to beat your ass is just. annoying a bit"
Talking sword, kinda unintentionally it did become a cane replacement. I think it would be slightly more socially acceptable to open carry sword on Yggdrasil because mobs, so yknow. However, Trio's sword is too long - making using it not straining on spine, arm, shoulder and all that. He got used to it tho.

lowkey i drew him in different outfit here mostly because i didn't wanna draw same clothes twice. HOWEVER! i also wanted to draw "post-war living in Luminara" Trio design for a whiiile (because there's no way he wouldn't move there lowkey like the cov is gone where else to go if not go live with husband)
also i didn't wanna draw this fucking hat good lord its so annoying to draw
The war, unsurprisingly, made his leg much worse (some bad landings and general straining). This, combined with not being able to just has sword out to lean on (weird looks from pandorans) (and also it's really just not that comfortable to use anymore as an aid) lead to him finally getting a proper cane.
Trio does not want to admit it was an immediate QoL update and he totally could just do that earlier.
The design on cane is barely legible there, but thats supposed to be a rose pattern
Day 5 is the day where the Brasil field trip was taking place. Our first stop was Ataranca.
The next place we visited was the Fjord where one of our council members Eternal died.
Next we stopped by the Mako mermaids. We originally were gonna stop at the Outback. But during the trip, the NAF were going around killing people, and they were starting to kill people in the Outback. So we went to another place.
During our visit at the Mako mermaids, one our members, Xi, were kill by who we thought were NAF players. Though we learned later they were trying to get people to turn on the NAF by making it seem they killed someone.
After that, we decided it would be best to head back to Brasil due to growing concern for our safety. Though we did stop by the Outback.
Back at Brasil, people from Bostonia were there seeking refuge for a bit after their nation was attacked. They later left to hopefully get their home back.
After that, we all took a breather and tried to enjoy the rest of the day. BUT Kanukei stopped by and told us the NAF were on their way TO BRASIL. So we all left to the Fjord, than looped back around back to Brasil hoping they had left. But they did not.
Tumblr sexyman tournament is coming, and an obscure character very dear to me is in it. Unfortunately, he will face a powerhouse in the first match... but I will not give up!
And that is why I did this presentation for you, Howl fans. Let's make an alliance against an evil triangle out there.
