My PhD journey has not been easy. I do not talk publicly what it took to be where I am but I am so proud that today my hard work has paid off. My first author paper is under review and now available as a preprint. We developed a new contrast agent to change the world of diagnostic imaging for patients.

We really got 4 seconds with actual speech and it’s the best thing ever. Based on this little snippet, my thoughts:

- I’m not sure if this is the arrival to Winterfell or not but let’s pretend. Dany not showing up with an over the top, grandiose procession like Robert Baratheon in season 1 should not be surprising. It’s just her and Jorah. She’s the first monarch to visit the North since then and if anything this is meant to show she’s not the same as the others. It’s an important early message to the Northerners who have every right to be suspicious of her. She can’t be threatening or arrogant if she wants these people on her side. She also cannot demand fealty hence why I think Jon speaks to Sansa first to clear the air on why he bent the knee and secondly stress that they need to show a united front.

- Jon introducing Dany to Sansa is a huge deal y’all. Note there’s no Missandei to list her titles. Dany has to ingratiate herself to the North. Yes, she’s there to help them and they need her but she also needs them. This kind of introduction also works cause it’s Dany meeting Jon’s family.

Jon probably: this is my girlfriend, Dany. I really like her, please be nice

Sansa: ugh fine

- I don’t buy this and neither does Dany. She’d be stupid to. I know everyone wants these two to get along and be “sisters” but it’s not realistic right now. Sansa will probably still have her suspicions especially when she sees Jon is involved with her. I understand why she’s wary of Dany. She hasn’t had one encounter with a King or Queen that’s ended well. She’s protective of Winterfell and always will be considering what has happened. Jon leaving as KiTN and returning as warden with a new Queen in tow is a bitch wtf moment. I think Dany will respect her as Jon’s sister but that’s as far as it goes. Dansa as a concept is cute but I want to see these two grow in understanding each other (outside of Jon) and I’m here for a back and forth and eventual mutual respect.

- This shot alone. The power that has. The impact that has. Can you say Royal couple of Westoros? Jaeherys I and Alysanne are shaking right now because THIS is the most legendary Targaryen couple! Jon looks every bit a King and Dany is the softest she’s looked since season 1. I’m so in love. Imagine not stanning.
