Reblog this photo of a kƤpylehmƤ to have a kƤpylehmƤ in your blog
It's a trick! If you reblog you get TWO kƤpylehmƤs in your blog!
i used to be a sad boy that lost his passion for reading and now im a cute dyke with glasses reading books on the train and blushing when pretty girls smile at me from across the car
never kill yourself
good, that was the point.
i used to be so sad and so miserable and so scared. Now i get to be a pretty girl in public and other girls see me and smile and we compliment each other and it's normal and im happy.
im so fucking happy, even when life sucks, im fucking happy.
Itās that time of year! š
Updated COVID vaccines are mostly for preventing severe acute illness, but it modestly reduces your chances of getting COVID at all! (54% less symptomatic illness in the following 4 months, in this recent MMWR report.) Best paired with a respirator! People who always wore N95 masks in indoor public settings had *83%* reduced risk of testing positive for COVID, in this 2022 MMWR report.
More info in this zine I made: What's Up With COVID and How to Protect Yourself: 2024 Edition.
Image description: Title reads "COVID-Safer Pride Guide" in front of a rainbow flag and three people in masks and respirators. Five colourful squares containing information make a rainbow and contain illustrations like a person's arm with a band-aid covering the site of a vaccine injection, a person in an N95 mask, and a line of Pride flags. The text reads:
COVID is still a threat. Getting sick sucks, plus your risk of long-lasting symptomsāaka long COVIDāgets higher each time you're infected. Fortunately, there's a lot you can do to lower the risk of transmission! Protect your ability to partyāand protestāthis Pride!
Get a Booster. Like Drag Race spinoffs, new COVID variants are dropping all the time. Antibodies from your latest vax or infection wane after a few months. Get a booster matched to the latest variants, and your resistance will peak in a couple weeks!
Mask up! COVID virus spreads through the air like the smoke from a fag [British]. A well-fitting N95 mask gives great protection! More reasons to mask up: sexy and mysterious, shows community care, avoid all the other airborne diseases!
Take it outside. The more fresh air to disperse the virus, the better! Transmission is still possible, especially in a crowd, but going outdoors is a major safety update!
Stay home if you're sick. Pride is all about community, baby. Protect your people by staying home if you're sick. If you do have COVID (rapid tests aren't great, so you might not know), getting lots of rest lowers your risk of developing long COVID! Drink some tea, sis.
Please this is urgent
Im getting sicker and sicker, I need to be somewhere safe and not sleep outside. The stress and the outdoors is causing my immune system to be weak and I've been getting sicker. I'd like to be somewhere to use my nebulizer. I've had painful strokes from stress these few years and I wouldn't want one outside where my mom can't do anything about it. That and I would like a shower and rest my body so I can heal. I know I ask a lot but this is my mental and physical health on the line! I've tried calling shelters but all of them are full this weekend and don't allow pets which is heart wrenching...that and most of the shelters here are women shelters and my mom doesn't want to separate from me. That and I need food, I've been getting stomach flu from eating cheap gas station food and it adds onto my unwellness. I need all the help I can get or else I would pass out without any way to get help...im scared I haven't been this sick in a while.
THE LONG-AWAITED WEBSITE!!!!
It's not perfect- Strawpage's design tools are... not great- but I did my best to bring you all a Tumblr-free transcription of all my lessons. This is probably the most labor-intensive thing I've done for this page (next to the character polls). Four months of blood, sweat, and tears... and now, she LIVES!!!!
Some Notes:
I created it with the intent of Desktop use, so Mobile might have some issues. If it's not working on your phone, try desktop.
Out of the multiple browsers tested (Firefox, Google, Edge, Brave, Safari), Firefox had some issues sporadically.
I'm still going to post lessons on here, first. This page is priority to me, and the website is more of an archive.
The fonts are normal past this opening page.
I will be adding a portion to send funds soon, if'n you are feeling kind and generous.
Thank you all for your patience while I worked on this. It was a labor of love and I hope that it shows. šš¾ Happy scrolling!
oh your pronouns are he/they?
well thatās mathematically incorrect becuase you can still simplify the fraction since both sides have āheā
making your pronouns technically 1/ty

At Toba aquarium in Japan, after closing time, some clever little otter pups help their grandpa tidy up their toys. As a reward, he gives them ice cubes
Evil transgender tip #9 read up on intersex people. A lot of trans and intersex struggles overlap and solidarity is important.
Jumping from child care to private security really messes with you. I keep saying "oopsie daisy" and encouraging drunk folks to "go home, drink some water and take a nap, and let's try again in 24 hours, okay?" Best part by far is that it's working. Guy went like he was going to fight me the other day and his buddy said "you leave the nice lady alone"
[ID: Comment by @emilyshka āINCREDIBLE, good for you. I went from being a nanny to bartending and accidentally put a whole bachelorette party in time-out. 100% recommend it was great.ā]
she asked me if i believed in god and i told her that when i was four i almost drowned in a public pool and in my panic mistook a stranger for my father. i clawed my way up his leg. four years later heād send my parents a picture of the scars alongside a tin of cookies. he said, āi hope sheās still okay. i carry her with me. it isnāt every day you save a life. it isnāt every day you feel like you were here for a reason. when it does happen, you have to cherish that memory. for once, i had a purpose. just being there was enough. she tore me open but she taught me a lot about love.ā
Iām every one in this
MAN 1 (in a high pitched, whiny voice) Look what youāve done to my peonies!
WOMAN (angrily) Theyāre marigolds!
MAN 2 God! I think sheās right! They are marigolds!
MAN 1 I may not know my flowers, but I know a (yells in her direction) bitch when I see one!
Itās back!
I looked this up because I had to know what itās from. Itās a film called The Gay Deceivers (1969), and itās about two straight men who, seeking to avoid the draft, claim to be gay, but then have to keep up the pretense when the army places them under surveillance.
The man in the red cardigan in the clip was played by Michael Greer, who was openly gay himself - unusual for the time. He actually worked closely with the director and rewrote much of the filmās dialogue to reduce the homophobia and make it more realistic. As a result itās quite progressive for its time, having a gay character, played by a gay man, living in a happy same-sex relationship, which is more than a lot of media offers us today.
Plus the clip is delightful.
I just needed this again.

āThere arenāt enough hours in a day.ā There are actually. The problem is that we think 40 hour work weeks are an unavoidable fact of life.
The problem is that everyone has to work 8 hours, pretty much no exceptions, and with getting ready time + (unpaid) lunch + commute, ā8 hoursā is actually anywhere between 9 and 12, every single day, with more work to do when you get home because our society and culture was built around having one member of the household home full time and nothing has changed now that almost everyone works.
No wonder Americans are reliant on DoorDash and fast food, thereās no time or energy to cook. No one wonder mental and physical health are in shambles, many just spent all day sitting in fluorescent lights with little to no stimulation. āJust wake up earlierā āJust meal prepā⦠these are ok short-term, individual solutions, but the broader, systemic issue is obvious. We arenāt built for this. Thereās no work-life balance. Genuinely, I think if our culture could normalize a shorter work week, many individualsā biggest problems would simply evaporate.
