Chris looked up to see the bag of snacks right in front of him. Looking up further, he saw Isles holding the bag towards him. He let out a soft chuckle and gladly accepted the treat. “Thanks.”

It was endearing to hear the flirtations coming from Connor. It wasn’t the smoothest delivery, but it was sweet nonetheless. “You know, you really don’t have to do that.”

A soft laugh escaped the younger man, almost sounding like a snort. The shuffling and noise from the baby monitor was what had awakened Chris, and in turn caused him to wake Hank up. But then the other’s response made it clear Hank wasn’t going to get up.

Chris placed his hand on Hank’s arm, gently shoving him away. “Alright, alright. Go back to sleep. I’ll get up.” He told him, rolling off the warm bed to go to the other room to check on Damian.
