If you're writing anything involving cons, scams, heists, or morally questionable characters who are very good at lying, here are some free resources I've been using for research. Saving you the "why is this in my search history" anxiety.
1. The FBI's Famous Cases & Criminals archive (fbi.gov/history/famous-cases) has detailed breakdowns of real fraud cases, Ponzi schemes, and confidence operations. The language they use is clinical and precise, which is perfect for getting the procedural details right.
2. The FTC Consumer Sentinel Network publishes annual reports on the most common fraud tactics in the US. Great for understanding how modern scams actually work and what makes people fall for them.
3. The Smithsonian's American Art Museum has a free digital collection of forgery case studies. If your character forges documents or art, this is gold.
4. Court Listener (courtlistener.com) is a free legal database where you can read actual court transcripts from fraud trials. Want to know how a real con artist talks under oath? This is where you find out.
5. The Internet Archive's collection of old newspaper crime sections. Search for "confidence man" or "swindle" in papers from the 1920s through 1960s and you'll find incredible real stories that would feel too dramatic for fiction.
Bonus: The Psychology of Fraud section on the Association for Psychological Science website has accessible articles about why people trust, how deception works cognitively, and what makes someone a convincing liar. Essential reading if you want your con artist characters to feel psychologically real.
Reblog to save for later. Your WIP will thank you.
Wish i was skilled enough to write a good heist!
A, Release it NOW!!!

The BBC apparently has till 2031 to pay Disney something like 150 million dollars for Doctor Who. If they don't the rights go to Disney for good and I love that. It's an asswater show and Disney is crap as well but I hate the BBC more for being weird.
Once Matt Smirh left it went downhill. I can’t stand it. I cannot get myself to like Lewis Capaldi as an actor in that show. He’s done other stuff I’ve liked but I can’t stomach this.
I laughed my ass off at all the wild shit they did recently to change it. They changed some evil character to be no longer disfigured and in a wheel chair cause it hurt crippled uggos feelings. Lmao.
Oh god which character?

Lewis Capaldi?
🤦♀️ I meant Peter.
Fun fact they’re related which is why I confuse them.

New writing project is in the works.
Stay tuned.
Watching the Friday the 13th movies.
I'm on Part 3. This is a stupid-ass god damn movie, I gotta say.
A major part of Shelly's self-image problem was the fro.
The fro was scaring the hoes, I must say.
Besides the fat, manchild jokester thing, I mean.
Watched 4 last night before bed.
5, and 6 today.
Now I'm on 7, The New Blood.
It's weird that part 5 was set in like 1988, and then they jump another 2 or 3 years in part 6, then part 7 jumps another like 9 years.
So by this installment it's like 1999 or 2000 and everything still looks like the 1980s. They thought it was gonna be the 80s forever, man.
Wait till you get to Jason Goes to hell and you're confronted with a black cowboy bounty hunter and zero explanation made as to who he is or why he is in the film.
Somehow I read that as “black cowboy booty hunter.”

The saga of my beloved cup.
I filled it, crisp Diet Coke. Delicious. Cold. Perfection.
It was leaking for some reason, so I tightened the lid. I have weak wrists. It should have only been the end of that.
I now cannot open this cup for the life of me. My coworkers and mother tried. It has failed.
Send help.
PSA
If you see this person, or anyone doing the following;
Do not click the link, they used surli.cc to try to hide the fact the link is malware.
The real link leads to effectivecpmnetwork, which is an advertising tracking and monetization URL commonly associated with pop-up ads, malware redirection, and ad-injecting scripts.
While the term ecpm is a legitimate digital advertising metric, this domain is widely flagged by cybersecurity services as a malicious or unwanted host.
The URL is frequently spammed in the comments, bios, or direct messages of platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Threads.
It often hides behind deceptive links promising free followers, exclusive videos, or redirects.
It is typically triggered when a user accidentally clicks a malicious ad or downloads a browser extension that is bundled with adware, causing their device to be redirected to intrusive, or scam websites.
The network functions by generating fraudulent ad impressions or redirecting users to third-party ad networks in order to generate illicit revenue for the hackers operating it.
nazi chilimac?
I guess if you add like some ground up German sausage to it, sure.
With some schnitzel on the side?
I can’t, these kids are just so fucking funny.
