rileyxholliday:
Riley just raised a brow at the others answer. “Aren’t you just a regular Disney Princess.” He took the sunglasses off again even though it stung his eyes. “You got something against younger vampires?”
Brendan bristled at his comment but said nothing. It was all the more reason to not associate with fledglings. They were all so moody. “Yes. Never cared for them. Not about to start.”
rileyxholliday:
Riley just raised a brow at the other vampire. “What? He’s just a little kid acting like a tough guy.” he indicated to the kid who had moved on now then sat back on the bench before wincing slightly at the sun and put his sunglasses on. “Does it ever get easier? The sun.”
The elder vampire rolled his eyes, paying no mind to the child. “That’s the attitude that will get him killed,” he muttered to himself before glancing at Riley. Brendan bristled at his question, immediately remembering why he didn’t tend to hang around with fledglings. “Never. So get used to it.”
rileyxholliday:
“Don’t fight me on this, kid. I’m the best at these pokemon card games.” Riley was sat in the park with a kid who had challenged him to a pokemon card game while he was just chilling out on a bench, the kid got cocky, and Riley was trying his best to not just bust up laughing at the tough guy attitude. Once the kid had enough, he saw someone looking over and rolled his eyes playfully. “Kids huh?”
Brendan looked up from his paper, brow raised at the sudden commotion. With tensions rising between supernaturals and humans, he did his best to stay current. Truth be told, he hated the internet. Technology was both a blessing and a curse after all. “Right,” He said, giving the man a pointed stare. He had no idea what they were doing and he wasn’t completely sure he wanted to ask. Regardless he set down his paper, observing the show.
agarrcway:
“Now that… is where we’re different.” Alec picked up his glass and tilted it towards Brendan before downing the contents. “You never did like cleaning up did you? Have you cleaned up at all since you opened your place?”
“and thank god for that,” Brendan replied, tipping his own glass at his brother but stopped just before taking a sip. “Why would I do that? I prefer to stay on the fun end of things.”
kiracole:
“I know, I know. I’m gonna sort it.” Then she turned to see him still stood at the door. “What? Have you never been in here before? I thought you had.” Kira went back over to him. “Come on in then.” She extended an invite.
“Mhm,” Brendan mumbled, the amused smirk returning to his face. Pushing off the door frame, the vampire walked through the threshold. It wasn’t exactly what he’d meant but Brendan decided to roll with it anyway. “Do I start taking my shirt off now or are we back to being modest?”
kiracole:
“She’s twenty-five, not five, I’m way past setting ground rules. She’s an adult.” Kira stopped at her door and listened out. “Alright, no one home.” She unlocked the door and went in. “I’ll get that shirt for you.”
Brendan fought the urge to roll his eyes, it’d become an annoying habit of his. “Yes, she’s an adult but you still live together. Even for roommates, that crosses a line.” He shrugged, leaning against, the door frame. “I guess I’ll be here then.”
kiracole:
“Well, it’s in my closest.” She smirked when he looked away, but didn’t say anything else on the subject. “I was already at work.” Then she hit him a bit on the arm. “I’m hard working and entitled to a break.” Kira pointed at herself then dropped her hand. “Has she had sex with your brother at yours yet? I have to keep locking my bedroom door so she can’t follow through on her numerous threats to have sex on my bed.” She ran her hand over her face at the entire thing.
Brendan merely hummed in response even if she didn’t need one only jumping at the sudden attack. He wasn’t expecting it, though it didn’t surprise him. She’d always been the hit first think later sort. “Unless my brother broke into my house without me knowing, that’s a no. And it’s going to stay that way.” The vampire said, cringing at the thought. “Though if I were you, I’d set some ground rules. You have a bizarre living arrangement.”
agarrcway:
“Another St Patrick’s day done and gone, too bad people use it as an excuse to get drunk these days. Way to play on a negative stereotype for us actual Irish folks.” Alec gave a sarcastic thumbs up, he never did like St Patrick’s day outside of Ireland. “I need an extra volunteer to help my cleaners today. Takers?”
“Just do what I do,” Brendan started, turning around in his barstool to face his brother. “Just go on a bender with them. You know, take one down, pass them around.” Brendan flashed him a smile, his tone hinting that he wasn’t just talking about bottles of alcohol. “Boston is always a good time for that. That being said, I’m more of a ‘make the mess’ kinda guy, I don’t do clean up.”
kiracole:
Kira pondered for a second. “Do you know what? It is blue. I don’t where it came from or how it got there, but it’s there.” The she shook her head. “No, it’s fine. I was on a coffee run anyway. Come on.” She nodded her head in the direction of her place. “Phobe should be at work right now.”
“Well, I’ve been missing it for months.” Brendan said, raising a brow as he looked away. He wasn’t about to admit that he knew she had it--it looked better on her. or at least, when they could stand to be in the same room together, it did. “You couldn’t make coffee at your house? Or were you already at work and just slacking.” Brendan said, walking in the direction she nodded. “Great so there is no need to exchange awkward pleasantries.”
silaskorvick:
“And that, my friends, is why I know for a fact Carrie Underwood is 100% a demon.” Silas stated confidently before bringing their drink to their lips. They had spent the last five minutes discussing how her new song Love Wins was trying to appease the Lord into thinking she was a a changed person.
Brendan turned his head slowly in the demon’s direction, his face a mask of confusion and annoyance. He’d been listening to them drone on and on for what felt like ages. “If you’re going to tell this story again, can you please go to the other side of the bar?” he grumbled before turning around to hunch back over his drink, taking a sip. “Though a part of me wonders why you’ve dedicated so much time and thought into this.”

kiracole:
Kira was plucking her shirt to stop it from stinging her skin then glanced up at who it was. “Oh yeah, I totally did it on purpose.” She raised a brow in return and finally hung her phone up. “I’ll pay for the dry cleaning, just send me the bill. I think I have a mens shirt at home? I’m not sure.”
Brendan merely rolled his eyes, peeling the wet fabric away from his own torso. The cool air whipping through, not that it particularly bothered the vampire. “If it’s blue, it’s probably mine anyways.” He said almost too casually for his own liking. “Unless you’re in a rush.”
kiracole:
Walking, talking and trying to eat her breakfast, Kira was trying to juggle the morning ahead. “Just make sure your insurance can cover it before you go ahead.” Chatting on the phone, she rounded a corner and straight into someone, spilling her coffee on the pair of them. She gasped in pain from the hot coffee and stepped back. “Oh I am so sorry!”
The feeling of hot coffee against his torso was enough to snap Brendan out of his own daydream. It’d only been a couple weeks since he’d opened his own business and it was nothing like how he’d remembered it. He really was an old man when it came to technology, after all. The vampire glanced down, his very expensive designer button up now clung to his frame. “Are you sure that wasn’t on purpose?” He asked raising a brow, a hint of teasing in his tone.
