In november I read, loved and bookmarked a few carlando fics that seem to have disappeared from ao3.

Can someone pls help me find them, or the author, or just tell me that they weren't a fever dream, and i'm not imagining reading them?

All of them were sorta longer, multi-chapter fics. I'm gonna highlight 2.

first

in universe

starts out when carlos moves from mclaren to ferrari

carlos has been in love with lando for a long time

most of the fic is lando realizing he is queer and also in love with carlos

carlos doesn't think lando could be in love with him

there's a maxiel subplot,

charles is also there as chaotic bitchy problem solver friend

carlos's woking apartement plays a big role in that he still has it after moving, because he doesn't want to let got the memories with lando together

there's some delicious angst

fear of rejection.

wonderfully climactic chapters when lando tries to get it on with carlos, carlos shoots him down, lando thinks he will get rejected, goes back to woking, into carlos's apartement, realizes carlos does love him (after a great phone call scene with dan/max/charles) flies back the same night to carlos in spain, and bam big confession

carlos needs and at the very and gets therapy

other one

au

carlos is a driver at mclaren

lando is part of the royal family

they meet at a race

takes place over a long time

lando has trouble with his family

george is lando's best friend, ex, security guard all in one.

there is angst in this one as well

lando does leave the family behind

maxiel subplot in this as well, but especially queer danny subplot

they first just hook up, but then start a relationship

they need to keep it a secret.

secret phone calls etc.

kimi raikönnen shows up after george is fired and become's lando's new security. he is a wonderfully funny character addition

this one ends in carlos leaving mclaren for ferrari, and moving to italy with lando
