This show does not take Mel seriously as a character. And don't try to tell me that this is two characters having a conversation and it's not the viewpoint of the writers. They leave it at "Mel?" where you, the audience, has to know what they mean, they want you to also laugh at Mel. I saw this episode with 3000 other people, and they were all laughing at her, this is meant to be a joke at the expense of Mel and her neurodivergence
