In my silly universe au, Eclipse has the kind of autism where if he knows he's right about a hyperfixation detail, he'll be upset if people state that he's incorrect.

It gets to the point that if he's playing intergalactic War Thunder and they got the specs, details, etc wrong on a Black Arms vehicle, he'll be so upset and argue back with other people about how things should be that he'll upload classified black arms military docs to prove he's right. Doom and Death only found out about this horrible habit when enemies like the Klingons and Romulans start figuring out how to overcome the best ships in the Black Arms fleet. Their spying eventually figured out that they got the information from some game that Death recognizes that his son plays. His son's username is also on there? Arguing and uploading documents!?

Doom just about went berserk when he realized what his nephew did and Death banned Eclipse from War Thunder for life, much to his sorrow.

I thought I'd post this wip for Valentine's Day. I had tried to make this for Shadouge week 2025 for the "Reunion" prompt. context I have an au for Archie's "X Years Later" series. One where at some point, King Shadow thought that Rouge had died, and was left heartbroken and traumatized from another loved one leaving him.

Rouge wakes up on a river bank, with no memories but her own name and her skills. She restarts a criminal career, stealing valuable gems. She can't resist when she hears of the supposed tyrant, King Shadow, possessing a chaos emerald. She sneaks into his palace to grab the valuable jewel. When King Shadow is alerted to an intruder, and goes to confront them, it's as if time stands still. Rouge is confused. Why does this King look at her with such haunted eyes? How does he know her name? Calling it out barely above a whisper.

He walks towards her as if lost. This wasn't what she was expecting. Taken off guard, she takes steps back, not sure what to process from this ruler reaching out for her.

One of my Black Arms headcanons that I think used to be canon until Black Doom was redesigned as purple is that a swarm (hive members who aren't lords or darklings) will have a similar color to the hive lord or darkling that made them. So Doom's swarm (back when he used to be dark grey) were also grey tones. Death's swarm has green tones. Meanwhile Eclipse's swarm (the dark arms) have blue tones. So in my AU, with Doom being retconned as purple, so to would his swarm have purple hues. If Shadow made a swarm, they would be monochrome as their base color.

Thinking of renaming sonic oc Eden (Black Doom and Black Death's parent) to Sophia and taking a more gnostic approach to the AU, but idk. At least Sophia and Eden both carry connotations of holding hidden knowledge and having vibes of a utopia, things were better back then, some ideal that's unreachable, etc.

Just had a sad realization about one of Shadow and Eclipse's contrasts to each other.

Shadow was created as a means to save his family (Maria), and just before his dad (Gerald) died, he tried to turn Shadow into a weapon to destroy others. Eclipse was created as a weapon to destroy family (Shadow), and just before his dad (Black Death) died, he asked Eclipse to take care of the Black Arms/save the next generation, their family.
