“Listen, Derek, I’m happy here, ok? Sure, the other mother is a little strange, but I can totally deal with strange. Strange is totally my thing.” Stiles explained.

“She’s more than strange. She’s twisted. And trust me, you won’t be happy here for long.” Derek added as he marched on ahead.

“I won’t be happy here for long? What’s that supposed to mean? I have friends here, people who care, I have my mom back, and you know what else?? Lydia actually notices me in this world!” The teen gestured wildly with his arms. “I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t sound terrible at all.”

“This is exactly what she wants. You’re walking right into her trap.” The other snorted.

“Trap?”

“She’s trying to impress you with all the things the other world isn’t letting you have.”

“Is that so bad??”

“No, not yet, it isn’t.”

“ Ok, hold up, tall, dark and terrifying! How about you at least TRY and make some sense here? ” Stiles demanded.

“I can’t believe this—- Don’t you get it??? She’s going to make you stay here with her FOREVER.” Derek practically spat out the last word. “She’ll spoil you and love you, all until she gets bored.”

Stiles pulled a face. What a load of nonsense, he thought.

“And when that happens, you’ll be tossed aside like nothing.” Derek continued.

And that’s exactly when Stiles stopped walking, refusing to take another step.

“… You’re lying.”

“Am I?”

“Yeah, you are! She’s my mom. She’d NEVER do that to me—“

“Listen to yourself, Stiles. She’s not even really your mother, is she?” The older man glanced back over his shoulder, stopping in his tracks. “Your mother died a long time ago… remember? You even said so yourself.”

Stiles quickly fell into yet another silence.

Derek simply rolled his eyes and let out a dramatic sigh, before crouching down onto the ground. “You’re an idiot, Stiles Stilinski.”

Stiles dragged his gaze over toward Derek, shining his flash light across at him.

“Derek…”

He would never admit it, but Derek sort of felt sorry for Stiles. He knew what it was like to lose something important. He knew what it was like to dream and wish so much that second chances like this were given with no strings attached.

“You need to snap out of it.” He warned. “I’m going to get you out of here in one piece, kid”

“I promise.”

I’ve FINALLY finished the smut, y’all! This is an extension of a tumblr ficlet inspired by this photo I wrote about a year ago. A million thanks to @dizzy-redhead for the beta. xoxo, I hope you all enjoy! | Ko-Fi

He’s about to give up and close the app when he sees the photo. It’s hardly any different from many of the other profile pics he’s seen, and certainly more tame than some. But it sends a shiver of want through his body, followed by a shock of recognition that stuns him, that makes the world spin for a moment.

It’s so overwhelming he has to put the phone down and get up and walk around. He stalks a few laps through the loft before picking up the phone again and tapping on the pic to make it full screen.

It dawns on Derek then that if he recognizes him based on a faceless pic of his bare chest, then there’s a damn good chance he’s gonna recognize Derek’s photo, and that realization fills him with an embarrassment that borders on panic.

He takes a screenshot of the photo, then deactivates his account, deleting the app for good measure.

When they said it was normal to feel restless, she didn’t expect for it to feel like this—suffocating, constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop, and drowning in three feet of water; the surface being right there, but, doing nothing to come up—just biding time until it all ends. When she recieves a mysterious email urging her to go to London, England, Y/N hops on the first flight out, and unknowingly winds up in hot water. Perhaps cussing a mobster out isn’t the best method to maintain your life—or even all your appendages—but, jetleg is a bitch, and raccoons and judgemental little pricks, with tiny hands. Plus, why does everyone in the room look like they’ve hopped out of an Ambercrombie meets The Godfather magazine?

She looked him up and down, placing a gentle hand on his crotch. He smirked and placed a hand onto her side, pulling her in. Disgusting.

“Oh, me?” A sweet smile tugging at her lips. When he nodded, she gripped him as if she was holding on for her life, until he passed out.
