i made a pokemon team for auron a little while ago, and there’s a lot more lore attached to my reasoning besides “they’re all black and red”
for starters, i personally think auron would have a mix of dark type and steel type pokemon on his team. when we first get a real glimpse at him - we’ll use his conversation with alphonse in bittersweet chapter 3’s finale episode (ep. 12) as an example - he’s not very friendly sounding, appearing cold and steely despite having empathy for the trio’s situation. there’s so much going on beneath the facade of “cold hearted cruelty” he constantly has up as well, so dark and steel work perfectly for him and his character with what we’ve seen so far. let me elaborate on my choices though
explanations under the cut!!
Zoroark — mainly based on his double life, CEO by day crime boss at night type shit, and since this pokemon has an illusion ability i thought it was perfect (plus black and red)
Bisharp — more a nod to his time in Evalas as a knight, and the protector vibes he has even in the Beyond, mainly seen in how he keeps the ones he loves away from the darker side of his life
Krookodile — this pokemon has a “head honcho of a gang” kind of vibe to it, and it’s perfect for the leader of a crime syndicate to have a big intimidating pokemon when conducting business (plus black and red lol)
Corviknight — again a reference to him being a knight, more obvious this time since the theming of this line is literally a transition from “rookie” to “knight” - rookidie to corvisquire to corviknight
Houndoom (mega-capable) — this would technically be his ace but i mixed it up. anyways, this has both reference to his title as “the bloodhound” in Evalas and him still being protective of those he cares for - dogs and wolves are known pack animals after all
Aegislash (shiny) — finally, the most obvious one by far. it’s a sword and shield, a very obvious nod to knights. but what’s peculiar about this is that in canon, we don’t see a literal shield on auron (as far as we know at least, it could be under that cape he wears) meaning that he views himself as the shield that’s meant to protect and save everyone (only a theory here lol)
aaaand, there’s my reasoning! i know other people will see things differently, or even point out different typings and pokemon that may fit him better, and i’d love to see what you guys think! what other types do y’all see with him? what other pokemon do you think he would have as a trainer?

on discord, this DOES NOT outright block access to the app. it will prevent you from accessing channels marked as age-restricted, and it will prevent you from viewing images that the automatic image detection software deems as "adult content". which is annoying, but that software doesn't pick up on too much. also, it doesn't stop you from sharing images with third party hosting services lol
again, you DO NOT NEED TO VERIFY TO CONTINUE USING DISCORD. DMs will work fine. most servers will work fine.
do not verify. you do not need to. don't let this become normalized. just continue using the app. find ways of noncompliance. show them how worthless this is.

Actually you SHOULD make problematic content. You SHOULD explore dark or taboo topics. You SHOULD have a space where you can cope with your traumas or explore sensitive topics in a way that doesn't hurt anyone.
Also you should make problematic content for funsies. You don't need to have had trauma or need to be coping in order to explore dark creativity. You can just be a human who wants to explore dark and taboo topics because you want to. That's completely normal, btw.
Every single person on this planet thinks about dark and taboo things. It's literally the most normal thing in the world.
