Starting Over - I Have A New Blog!

I'm retiring this blog and starting over fresh for a new chapter in my life - you can find and follow my new blog at my old username, ihavetoadmititsgettingbetter :)

Hey all!

So i decided I needed to start from scratch - so I re-made my blog. I changed the URL of my other blog to OLD-ihavetoadmititsgettingbetter, and am using the same name here. I am at the beginning of my journey again and I wanted to feel that way - this time around I’m going to curate my blog better so I’m able to keep up with all the wonderful people and personal posts, which is what I love the most about tumblr! I really needed to do this, I think.

Looking back in my archive on this blog just reminds me of where I could have been right now if I hadn’t given up so many times. I think I’m going to re-name this blog, set it to private and start over. I’m exhausted from trying to “keep up appearances” here, and have had the blog for so long that it’s hard to get through my dashboard to find the personal posts and people I connect with.

I just wanted to put this out there - I’ll try to come find all of you on my new blog, and you can keep an eye out for me too ;)

Am I going crazy? My fit bit’s band is coming apart and I can’t find bands for a charge anywhere. I only see the flex. Do they make them and I’m just crazy?

You have to get a replacement, they don’t just sell the bands. Contact Fitbit, they’ll send you a new one!

2.6 down this week for a total of 5.4 in the month of December so far! This is with two family Christmas parties this past weekend, my company holiday party the weekend before, and an ugly sweater pub crawl the weekend before that. So stoked!

I totally re-set my weight history to give myself a fresh start - it’s easier to track from a solid point rather than a few old weigh ins here and there across the past 6 months or so.

I had some people at work ask me why I would decide to start weight watchers again in December - well, this is now 5.4 pounds i don’t have to worry about losing in 2016!

Feeling pretty confident about this week too. I’m making Skinnytaste’s butternut squash soup for our huge Christmas Eve celebration, so I’m feeling pretty confident I can stay on track if I load up on that for 2sp per serving. I’m also going to make a sweet onion dip that is SO not WW friendly, but instead of quadrupling the recipe like I always do, I’m only going to double it - a smaller amount will gone sooner, which leaves me less opportunities to pig out on it all night.

Seriously loving this new Weight Watchers plan so much. I feel great, I feel satisfied when I’m eating, and the weight is coming off. I can do this!

I have tried typing a post for the past 15 minutes and every time I start something, I think “nah, I don’t want to say that” and I delete it.

I’m exhausted and the next 48 hours are going to be even more exhausting - fun, but exhausting.

Fitbit Report for the day! My charge is only lasting 3 days before I have to recharge. Is that normal???

Mine is about the same! I have the Quick View disabled (where it automatically lights up when you move your arm) and it still dies every 3 days. Apparently for people who are really active this is normal. :/

Do you have All-Day Sync on? Turning that off helped me.

I just recently turned the Quick View off… as for the all-day sync… I will have to check that out.  I only sync my fitbit to my phone (by turning bluetooth on and off) a few times a day.

mine has only ever lasted 3 days - I connect it to charge either when I am in the shower or sitting at the computer. Little bit of charging every day, and I never seem to run out of juice that way.

Mine tends to last 4-5 days. I don’t use the alarm feature and try not to turn the screen on the actual Fitbit on if i can help it. In the beginning I checked the screen a lot and it would die much faster. I only sync like twice a day, too, which I’m sure helps.

I really wish we we had replies back :( I've been spending much more time over on the connect part of the ww app, it feels so much more interactive! Food has been on point this week. Today my manager brought bagels, but I stuck to my mini frittatas I brought from home. I also managed to avoid housing a million arancini when my fiancé brought home a whole tray tonight. All wins!

Am I missing something?

So when I went to track my Skinny Taste Turkey Chili for lunch last night it would not pull up on my app.

I wrote out exactly as I had labled it and got zip. I know that recipies are not even listed as anywhere to click in the app, but you’d think surely you could search for your own saved items.

I actually had to log onto the website, where searching still didn’t work, but I had to go under my recipes and click on it just to track it.

Has anyone else had this problem with recipe items?

Am I missing something, or it’s just the screwy world of weight watchers right now?

I think it's something they're working on, but don't have up yet. If you click the plus sign on the app you can click on "my foods" then recipes, but you have to scroll to find it, not search. Hopefully that'll be released sooner rather than later!
